In the latest episode of the Attack on Titan anime series, the Yeagerists were introduced. In case you missed it, you may be wondering: “what is a Yeagerist?”. If you do, then you’re in the right place, as on this occasion, Dunia Games would like to discuss the Yeagerists of the Attack on Titan.

Who are the Yeagerists?

The Yeagerists are a rebel faction consisting of civilians and former soldiers from the Paradis military. Their initial goal was to reunite Eren Yeager with his half-brother, Zeke Yeager, and form the “New Eldian Empire” as well as assisting Eren in his effort of activating the Rumbling.

The formation of the Yeagerists began when Eren told Floch about his plan to use Zeke Yeager to get the power of the Founding Titan. Shortly after that, Flock began gathering the people in secret to help Eren with his plan.

Later on, Eren would begin to take matters into his own hands while defying the military that intended to feed Zeke to Historia Reiss.

The Yeagerists believe that Eldia is on the brink of destruction, and only they can save the island by dedicating themselves to Eren Yeager. The Yeagerists also claim those who comply with the empire can only watch as they are devastated by the outside world.

The Yeagerists’ Purpose

The main goal of the Yeagerists is to help make Zeke’s plan to be completed. Zeke’s plan consists of sterilizing all of the Subjects of Ymir ( which means the Eldians) -- so that they won’t be able to have offsprings, thus there will be no more Titans.

The Yeagerists don’t always have a specific reason -- probably because they would side with Zeke and Eren, regardless of what their plans were.

They’re also infuriated by Paradis’ progress in their war with Marley. They deem that the Raid on Liberio was a successful one. That’s why they pledge their loyalty to the Yeagers because they want to achieve peace as quickly as possible.

The Yeagerists also believe that Eren and Zeke should be the leaders due to their Titan powers and wisdom. The Raid on Liberio has made them believe that the Yeagers will bring peace to the world.

Yelena is one of the most loyal Yeagerists who believes in Eren and Zeke and sees them as deities. She also believes that they will be remembered for hundreds of years. It is possible that other Yeagerists also hold this belief as well since they see the Yeagers as the highest authorities. But some of them don’t share the same belief.
