What is a Core in Mobile Legends?

A Core is a term used to define the role of the hero who serves as, well, the core of the team that has powerful abilities -- and a high Carry potential. This term is basically similar to the role “Jungler” in the other games.

A Core has a primary task to lead the team to victory -- therefore, the Core has to focus on farming from the early game to the mid-game to get their power spike.

The role of Core is usually assigned to a Marksman or an Assassin as these classes have the bigger potential to carry the team.

What Are the Duties of a Core in Mobile Legends?

1. Initiate Ganks

Pulling off ganks is one of the duties that a Core has to carry out to help allies in need, or to exert pressure on the opposing team. 

A successful gank will also help you get more gold -- or you may also take down a Turret if the timing is right.

2. Secure Objectives

A Core is also responsible for securing objects like Turrets, Turtle, and Lord. 

Turtle is an epic monster that will grant you a big amount of Gold and Exp after you take it down. Turtle is also an important objective to obtain as it will give your team a massive boost of gold and even help you level up.

While Lord is a powerful epic monster in Mobile Legends. If you managed to take down the Lord, you will get additional Gold and Exp, and you can have Lord to help you fight the opposing team until it dies.

Best Heroes to Play as a Core

Ling

Up until now, Ling remains an amazingly powerful Assassin in Mobile Legends due to his insane mobility and decent damage.

In the current META, Ling has become one of the perfect Assassins that can play as the Core since he can clear out jungle monsters quickly. He can also roam and pull off ganks effectively with his Finch Poise.

Yi Sun-Shin

As for Marksman, Yi Sun-Shin is the hero who excels as the Core as he possesses an excellent Carry potential. On top of that, Yi Sun-Shin is also reliable to secure objectives and pull off ganks.
