On Jonathan Liandi's YouTube channel, Marsha revealed the origin of the name Geng Kapak.

“The name Geng Kapak is just what Eko came up with. Eko actually said “mini gang”, but there was a moment where I used to refer to the ax icon on the bottom right corner in Mobile Legends. So, each team fight, I would yell “hit the ax, hit the ax”. Perhaps (that’s why) Eko came up with Geng Kapak, it wasn’t official back then, it’s only during the live streams,” Marsha said.

He also said that the name that Eko Oura coined had a huge impact on the use of Geng Kapak by Nimo viewers, which he thinks are very solid.

“The viewers on Nimo are solid, they’re like “play with Geng Kapak” even when they’re just teaming up for a casual match. But Eko refers to us as Geng Kapak. Eko tends to have a huge impact on what he says,” he added.
