At the Evo Japan 2023 event, Bandai Namco announced two new characters in Tekken 8. The first was Leroy Smith who was introduced in Tekken 7 as a DLC character. The second character to be introduced was Asuka Kazama who has been present since Tekken 5. Have a look at Asuka Kazama's reveal trailer below:

Asuka is Jin's distant cousin. Katsuhiro Harada mentioned on Twitter that Asuka had a different default costume than before. Even so, Asuka's costume from Tekken 5 can be equipped later. It seems that Tekken fans are satisfied with Asuka's fashion in the latest installment.

Apart from Asuka and Leroy, here is a list of characters that have been revealed in Tekken 8 so far:
