After a long wait, Persona 5: The Phantom X finally shows strong signs of its global release. This speculation surfaced after Atlus West's social media account posted an iconic Persona 5 visual with the bold caption "Retake Your Desire." This hint immediately sparked fan theories that the long-awaited global announcement is just around the corner.
Not stopping there, Atlus also announced a special livestream dedicated to revealing the latest details for the Japanese version of The Phantom X. Fans believe this event could include teasers or additional information about the global launch. Adding to the anticipation, rumors suggest that Noctua Games may become the publisher for the Southeast Asian region. If true, this indicates the global release might be staged with varying schedules depending on the region.
In terms of gameplay, Persona 5: The Phantom X retains the signature elements of the main Persona series. Although it is developed for mobile and PC platforms, the game still delivers stylish turn-based combat complete with the iconic All-Out Attack. Players can also explore Palaces and Mementos, two mysterious locations filled with challenges, while engaging in social activities like building relationships with other characters, playing baseball, and even fishing.
Currently, Persona 5: The Phantom X is already available in China, Taiwan, and South Korea for Android, iOS, and PC. Since its release nearly a year ago, the game has received major updates that expanded the storyline up to the third Palace, introduced new characters, added gameplay mechanics, and widened exploration areas. For a spin-off game, its content is impressively solid and consistently evolving.
If the hints from Atlus West are true, it won't be long before fans outside of Asia can finally experience the stylish adventures of Persona 5: The Phantom X. Let’s wait for the official announcement during the upcoming livestream.
