Episode 68 of DG CHEAT (08/02) featured Momochan – one of the most popular casters in Indonesia – as the guest star. Momochan shared her experience in the esports scene, as well as gave some tips and tricks for aspiring-casters on DG CHEAT. Before Momochan got selected as one of Mobile Legends’ official talents, she was the caster for the inaugural season of the tournament. She admitted that she’s quite acquainted with the people behind MPL Season 1. Since then, she’d tried to establish connections with them, promoting herself to secure another season as the caster.

“So, for example, if you know the people at Dunia Games who are in charge of holding events, you'd just tell them 'hit me up if there's an event coming up, or 'I;m open for a caster gig'... Having a lot of acquaintances is one of the plus points in the esports scene,” Momochan said.

She also often makes new friends at offline events, and talks to new people while promoting herself as an esports caster. “Expand your network, it's really really necessary. Many people might say that you're using inside connections, but it all comes back to whether you have a quality as a caster. Quality caster will always be chosen over those who only rely on insiders,” Momochan revealed that she enjoys making new friends, as it will broaden her career network.

Although it wasn’t smooth sailing during the early days of her career as an esports caster, Momochan stated that she’s now comfortable being a caster. She even refused to return to cosplay, and prefers to be a caster than a cosplayer. According to Momochan, you need to establish connections with new people to develop as a person. Building a network is important in the esports scene.
