AYANEO has revealed more details about the Pocket DMG, its long-awaited Gameboy-style retro gaming handheld. Pocket DMG is presented as a premium Android gaming handheld that competes with today's top models. This handheld is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon G3X Gen 2 and is also equipped with an OLED screen. AYANEO Pocket DMG offers a unique controller layout that is different from its competitors.
Pocket DMG was first introduced in November 2023. Now, complete images and key specifications have emerged. Pocket DMG is a retro vertical gaming handheld similar to the Analogue Pocket and Anbernic RG405V. This handheld is equipped with a 3.92 inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1,240 x 1,080 pixels and 419 PPI. The Pocket DMG screen is claimed to be the brightest among current retro gaming handhelds.
One of the main highlights of the AYANEO Pocket DMG is the use of the Snapdragon G3X Gen 2 chipset. This chipset is the same as the one on the AYANEO Pocket S, so the Pocket DMG is able to run most games. However, the Pocket DMG only has one joystick. AYANEO tries to overcome this shortcoming by including a touchpad area around the joystick as an alternative.
AYANEO has not provided specific details about the launch date of the Pocket DMG, nor does the press release mention the price of this model. However, it is hoped that this latest flagship from AAYANEO will be available on the market soon.
With an attractive retro design, a brilliant OLED screen, and strong performance from the Snapdragon G3X Gen 2, AYANEO Pocket DMG is ready to provide a premium retro gaming experience for fans. Let's wait for the next official announcement from AAYANEO regarding the release date and price of this gaming handheld.
