In the latest issue of Young Animal magazine published by Hakusensha, it was announced that Kentarou Miura's epic Berserk manga will soon begin a new arc with the release of its newest chapter. This latest chapter will appear in the next issue of the magazine which will be published on September 22nd 2023.

It's important to note that the last time we saw a new chapter of the manga was in the magazine's 11th issue on May 26 this year. The decision to start this new arc has sparked high enthusiasm among loyal Berserk fans who have long been waiting for further story developments.

The 42nd volume of the manga, which is also the first volume since the series continued, will be available in Japan on September 29th 2023. This is a much-anticipated opportunity for fans to dive into the dark and mysterious world that Kentarou Miura has built.

The sad news that touched many people was the passing of Kentarou Miura on May 6th 2021, due to an acute aortic dissection. Although the manga went on hiatus following his departure, Berserk was later resumed in Young Animal in June 2022. The continuation occurred with new credits stating, "Original work by Kentarou Miura, manga by Studio Gaga, supervised by Kouji Mori."

Studio Gaga is Miura's personal studio with assistants and students who have worked with him on creating this epic masterpiece. Mori, a childhood friend of Miura, has revealed that he has a deep understanding of the Berserk storyline up until the very end. He also presents a one shot manga that tells the story of his friendship and creative relationship with Miura.

The 41st volume of Berserk, which includes the final chapters Miura worked on for the series, shipped in Japan in December 2021. Dark Horse Comics also published this volume in November 2022.
