Blue Exorcist will return for its third anime season next year, and fans have gotten a new look at what to expect with the new trailer for Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga. The anime, which is planned to premiere in 2024, announced the latest footage from the upcoming anime as well as provided a preview of the anime's opening theme song entitled "Eye's Sentry" sung by the popular Japanese rock band UVERworld. This is the rock band's fourth collaboration with the Blue Exorcist franchise. Below are the latest video clips and the anime's opening song that was introduced.

The third season of the anime, based on the original manga by Kazue Kato, will take the story based on volumes 10-15 of the original manga. The main cast in the previous season of Blue Exorcist will also return in the third season which is planned to air in January 2024.

Blue Exorcist -Shimane Illuminati Saga- will be directed by Daisuke Yoshida for Studio VOLN. The anime will likely feature returning voice actors from the anime's first two seasons and feature films, and Toshiya Ohno will handle the series script. Yurie Daito is handling the character designs, and Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano are composing the music, respectively.

Kazue Kato's manga was first launched on Jump SQ in 2009 and went on hiatus in July 2021 and then resumed in May 2022. The story tells of the son of the famous exorcist Rin Okumura who never knew who his real father was. One day Rin had to face a terrible reality, it turned out that the blood of the demon king was flowing into Rin's body. Since then, Rin vowed to defeat Satan, aka the demon king. Rin entered a True Cross Academy to face demons and try to keep his bloodline a secret. Moreover, the strength within him that he got from his father who was a demon king could be seen once he started fighting seriously.

Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga was premiered in 2017 and ran for 12 episodes. Meanwhile, Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga is planned to be broadcast in January 2024. Fans must wait until this anime is broadcast.
