The official website for the anime movie BLUELOCK -Episode Nagi- which is a spin off of Kota Sannomiya's Blue Lock soccer manga, inspired by the original work of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, announced that comedian Seiya and voice actress Mami Koyama will guest star in the movie.

Seiya, who is part of the comedy duo Shimofuri Myojo, will voice one of the members of the Hakuho Middle School football team. Meanwhile, Mami Koyama will play a grandmother who also acts as a driver and servant for the Mikage Corporation, as well as the Mikage family.

BLUELOCK -Episode Nagi- is scheduled to premiere in Japan on April 19th 2024. The movie will feature four mini-anime titled BLUELOCK Additional Time! which will be shown after the credit scene for the first four weeks of the film's screening.

Every week, the mini-anime episodes shown will be different. Apart from that, this movie will also be shown in cinemas equipped with IMAX, MX4D and 4DX technology.

This movie will bring back the same staff members and voice actors as before. Shunsuke Ishikawa, who previously served as assistant director for the anime series, will direct the movie at studio 8-Bit. Meanwhile, Taku Kishimoto, who has experience in writing screenplays for series such as Haikyu!!, Silver Spoon, and the 2019 version of Fruits Basket, will be in charge of the script for this series. The manga's Kaneshiro will oversee the story, while Nomura will be the character designer. Jun Murayama will compose the music for the film.

The theme song for the movie is entitled "Stormy," performed by Nissy and SKY-HI. Nissy, also known as Takahiro Nishijima, is a member of the group AAA and is also active in his solo career. Meanwhile, SKY-HI is the name used by Mitsuhiro Hidaka, who is also a member of the group.

This spin off manga will show the story of Seishiro Nagi before he enters the famous Blue Lock facility. Kodansha USA Publishing has announced that the spinoff manga will be released in print format starting in fall 2024.

BLUELOCK is an interesting story, which shows the struggle of a football team to find a truly extraordinary striker.
