Hollywood star Brad Pitt takes on a different kind of role, this time not in a blockbuster movie but in a short film for DeLonghi’s global campaign. Titled “The Perfetto Instruction for Use,” the short is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi and premiered at the Venice Film Festival 2025.
From Coffee Manual to Cinema
The campaign brings a fresh idea: transforming a coffee machine user manual into a humorous and cinematic short film. Instead of dry technical instructions, the manual is reimagined as a stylish guide to starting the day with a perfect cup of coffee.
In the film, Pitt is seen embracing a relaxed morning ritual—switching coffee beans, listening to the sound of steam, breathing in the aroma, glancing out at a scenic view, and savoring that first sip. The film captures these small moments with a cinematic flair, highlighting the art of enjoying coffee.
A World-Class Production Team
Shot in Queenstown, New Zealand, with the stunning backdrop of Lake Wakatipu, the production brought together over 90 crew members from around the globe.
Key figures include Mike Berlucchi as Director of Photography and Ra Vincent as Production Designer. Renowned production companies like FINCH, Hood & Co., and hungryman Productions also played a role, while creative agency LOLA MullenLowe spearheaded the campaign as DeLonghi’s new global creative partner.

The short film highlights two of DeLonghi’s flagship coffee machines:
