A Branz comeback has remained uncertain for now. However, judging by EVOS’s current situation in MPL ID S15, Branz has emerged as the most accessible and realistic hope for the White Tigers.

EVOS has taken MPL ID S15 seriously. They have recruited three top-tier midlane players: Albert, Swaylow, and Kyy.

Only their side laners, Regii and Erlann, have stayed unchanged. Natco, serving as backup, has also remained a long-time EVOS player.

This roster has seemed quite promising. Erlann has performed well up to Week 3, and Regii has maintained consistency. EVOS has recorded a 4-1 win-loss tally by the end of Week 3.

But disaster has struck in Week 4.

Erlann, who had been seen as improved and no longer plagued by stage fright, has made two critical blunders in crucial matches against Dewa United Esports and RRQ Hoshi.

In both matches, which EVOS actually could have won, Erlann’s Moskov has failed to deliver, resulting in momentum shifts and, ultimately, defeat.

Unsurprisingly, he has received a wave of criticism. Rumors have circulated that Erlann would be replaced in Week 5, with fans fearing his mental state has been shaken once again.

A Branz Comeback in MPL Has Been a Real Possibility

EVOS has been troubled. Erlann has already gone through mental struggles from past seasons due to poor performances.

The mistakes he has made in Week 4 have been too costly, directly leading to unexpected losses.

But finding a replacement has not been easy. Especially someone available and eligible mid-season. That’s why, for EVOS, the best option may have been to bring Branz back.

Branz has remained a veteran still tied to EVOS, though he has been active primarily as a streamer recently. He has not appeared on any competitive roster this season and has even turned down offers to compete in Chinese tournaments.

He has streamed daily, including MPL restreams. At one point, Branz has even stated that the only way he’d return to MPL ID would be by playing for EVOS MPL, as he has refused to join any other team.

Given these facts—his experience, availability, and existing synergy with Kyy from their time together at BTR—a Branz comeback has become an incredibly compelling option.
