Bigetron by Vitality’s young EXP Laner, Shogun, has captured the spotlight in MPL ID Season 16. In his debut season, the player whose full name is Dylont Ananda Setya Huraihira has immediately earned the Rookie of the Season award—a remarkable achievement that even many veteran players have never reached.
But the road to this moment has not been easy. Behind his bright smile and highlight-worthy plays with Bigetron lies a story of struggle, doubt, and an unwavering will to survive in the esports world. Shogun had once almost given up when his career in MDL Indonesia seemed to be going nowhere.
This season has become a true turning point. After an underwhelming performance in Week 1 of MPL ID S16, Shogun has proven that his mentality is built differently from most young players. Instead of crumbling under pressure, he has bounced back with extraordinary performances—eventually being named MVP of Week 2, defeating several big names in the MPL ID scene.
From that point onward, his performance has continued to rise. He has been included in the Team of the Week twice—during Weeks 4 and 8—and also has earned multiple Best Rookie weekly titles. Ultimately, the Rookie of the Season MPL ID S16 title has officially gone to Shogun, marking the birth of a new star in Indonesia’s Mobile Legends competitive scene.
From Almost Quitting MDL to Becoming a Symbol of Determination and Consistency
In an interview, Shogun openly shared that his exceptional performance has been shaped by the unwavering support of his teammates at Bigetron by Vitality.
“Honestly, I’ve become who I am today because of the supportive environment in our gaming house. They constantly give advice and motivation. They believe in me—and I believe in them,” said Shogun.
That mutual trust and support within the team have built a strong foundation for his growth. As a rookie, he has been given the freedom to learn and experiment without fear of making mistakes.
Beyond the team, support from family and loved ones has fueled his spirit. Shogun admitted that his parents only came around to support him after a long journey of discussion and understanding about his future in esports.
“At first, my parents didn’t really support me. But after I explained what esports could offer as a career, they started to understand—and eventually gave their full support,” he added.
Before shining in the MPL ID stage, Shogun had gone through a long phase of ups and downs in MDL Indonesia. At one point, he had even considered retiring from competitive play entirely.
“I used to have two goals—esports and education. But once I gained my parents’ trust and could focus on one path, I decided to go all-in on esports,” said the 21-year-old player.
Shogun first entered the competitive scene with KINGS Esports in MDL Season 5. He recalled that he only wanted to try his luck after winning the Piala Presiden Esports qualifier with his former team, Arseus. However, after several seasons, his career still had not stabilized.
After a disappointing run in MDL Season 8, Shogun had chosen to focus on college. But fate had other plans—he was given another opportunity through Team Kagendra in MDL Seasons 10 and 11, before eventually catching the eye of Bigetron.
“I played with Kagendra until Season 11. We made it to playoffs but got knocked out early. Apparently, Bigetron had been watching me at that time, and thank God, I finally got the chance to join,” he recalled.
Shogun’s journey has shown how vital patience is in the competitive world. Every season, every setback, and every opportunity has shaped him into the mature professional he is today.
Now, Shogun is not just a young player with great mechanics—he is a living example of genuine perseverance. He has proven that with the right mindset and environment, even a rookie can shine as bright as a veteran.
“If we talk about Bigetron’s chance to become champion, I’m very confident. The six of us share one vision and one mission—that’s what makes us solid,” Shogun stated.
Shogun’s story has illustrated a simple yet powerful message: persistence and faith will always find their way. From a player who almost quit in MDL, he has become the best rookie of MPL ID Season 16—and one of the key pillars of Bigetron by Vitality.
His story has inspired countless young players across Indonesia. In the unforgiving world of esports, there is no guarantee of instant success—but one thing remains certain: true effort will never go to waste.
“Maybe this is just part of my life journey. Now, I just want to repay all that trust with my best performance in MPL,” Shogun said with a smile.
From MDL to the MPL stage, Shogun’s journey is not only about becoming a great player—it’s about proving that perseverance, consistency, and self-belief can truly turn dreams into reality.
Now, with the Rookie of the Season trophy in his hands, Shogun has written the first chapter of his MPL legacy—and the Indonesian esports scene seems to echo one message: his journey has only just begun.
