Garena has tested the latest Free Fire updates on the Advance Server in early April 2021. After receiving input from players and making adjustments, Garena is predicted to bring the update to Free Fire starting April 14, 2021.

Besides Xayne, Moony, and Kord, nerfs for Chrono are also tested on the last Advance Server.

In addition to all of this, Garena gives buffs to these 9 Free Fire characters to increase their chances of returning to Meta. Who are they? Let’s take a look below!

1. Alok

On the Advance Server April 2021, Garena buffs Alok’s 'Drop the Beat', making the HP recovery bonus increase from 5 HP/ second to 10 HP/ second. This means that you will get a total recovery of 100 HP when you activate Alok's skill.

If this buff is implemented, then Alok will be able to recover half of his maximum HP every 45 seconds. This buff can bring back Alok's popularity, even beating Chrono.

2. Elite Kelly 'The Swift'

Since it was first released, players have complained about the concept of the 'Awakening' character which is considered to be a waste of character’s skill slots. The reason is, players who want to use the Awakening character must also enter their normal character.

In Free Fire Advance Server, Garena implements a new system that combines awakening skills and normal skills so that it only requires 1 skill slot.

This change makes Elite Kelly's character "The Swift" have 2 effects at once; increasing running speed (Dash) and strengthening her first shot after Kelly runs for a few seconds (Deadly Velocity).

3. Hayato Awakening 'Firebrand'

Just like Elite Kelly, Hayato's Awakening "Firebrand" also gets double skill effects: "Bushido" and "Art of Blades". These two effects are very synergistic with each other because the defensive effect produced by the "Art of Blades" can support the aggressive playstyle of "Bushido".

Besides having a higher armor penetration bonus if Hayato's HP gets lower (Bushido), Hayato will also reduce the damage coming from the front (Art of Blades).

4. Maxim

Maxim, the king of mukbang, turns out to have a useful skill, namely speeding up the time to consume healing items such as mushrooms and medicinal herbs. Unfortunately, the percentage given to this effect is too small so the effect is too much.

In Advance Server, Maxim gets a big buff that speeds up the time to consume healing items by up to 40% at the maximum level so you can recover almost 2 times your HP faster.

5. A124

A124's 'Thrill of Battle' skill can be called getting the biggest buff on this list. Tested on the Advance Server, the cooldown skill decreased drastically from 60 seconds to just 10 seconds.

Garena also makes the A124's EP to HP conversion scaling effect weak at the starting level but gets stronger as levels increase. At the maximum level, A124 can convert 60 EP to 60 HP in just 4 seconds.

6. Wukong

Wukong is one of the Free Fire characters with the most unique skills that can make players turn into bushes by using the 'Camouflage'. This skill is very suitable to be used to fool and ambush enemies, but unfortunately, it has a very long cooldown.

On the Advance Server, Garena reduces Wukong's cooldown skill to 150 seconds at the maximum level, and the cooldown will immediately reset if Wukong manages to knock the enemy out. The duration of the 'Camouflage' skill is also increased to 15 seconds.

7. Rafael

Rafael is famous as an assassin who can kill his target secretly without leaving a trace. On the Advanced Server, Garena provides a permanent silencer effect when using sniper rifles and marksman rifles.

Rafael also gets a new effect so that enemies who are knocked by him will lose their HP faster. The enemy will be more difficult to revive so that their chances of returning to the lobby will be even greater.

8. Misha

Aside from her brother, Maxim, Misha the Race Queen will also get a buff. The vehicle speed bonus from the "Afterburner" skill will increase from the previous 12% to 20% at the maximum level.

9. Olivia

Olivia is one of the first generation characters in the game that has been available since 2017. Having skills that are less cooler than the characters released afterward, Garena finally decides to try out the latest buff for her 'Healing Touch' on the Advance Server.

If previously Olivia only gave an additional 40 HP to friends who are revived by Olivia, later the number of HP will increase to 70 HP. This makes Olivia a powerful support character.

So that’s 9 characters who get buffed on the Advanced Server - April 2021. It’s still uncertain whether the changes will maintain or not when it’s released officially.
