In Genshin Impact update 1.2, we welcome a new 5-star character named Albedo. He is an alchemist and the mentor of Sucrose and also a member of the Knights of Favonius.

Albedo wields a sword and uses Geo vision. The young man leans toward the role of sub-DPS because his main source of damage is his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. Albedo’s Elemental Skill summons Solar Isotoma that deals damage and serve as a lift. With his Elemental Burst, crystallized Geo will explode dealing AoE Geo DMG. if you combine Albedo’s Elemental Burst with his Elemental Skill, you can deal even bigger damage.

Albedo Support DPS Build

As explained before, Albedo’s role leans toward Support DPS because his main damage source comes from his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. It’s hard to fit him into the DPS role because of his slow attack animation.

Albedo shines when you use his Elemental Skill. The Geo DMG from his Elemental Skill scales from his DEF. By combining his Elemental Skill with his Elemental Burst you can deal bigger attack damage.

Equipping a weapon and Artifact that increases the effect from his Elemental Skill will be your main priority. So besides increasing his ATK, Crit DMG, and Crit Rate, you also have to increase his DEF stat and Energy Recharge. 

Weapon

Most Recommended

Harbinger of Dawn (3✰): When HP is above 90%, increases CRIT Rate by 14%.

You might wonder why the most recommended weapon for Albedo is a 3✰ sword. Harbinger of Dawn is a great option because the substat increases Crit DMG and its effect that increases Crit Rate. And you have to remember that Albedo doesn’t need a high ATK stat - as long as he got some good ATK stat then he is good.

Festering Desire (4✰) - Refinement 5: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 16% and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 6%.

Festering Desire is the new sword that you will get from The Chalk Prince and the Dragon skill and you can refine it to reach refinement level 5. It’s a great sword for Albedo because it increases his Elemental Skill damage.

Other Option

Aquila Favonia (4✰): ATK is increased by 20%. Triggers on taking DMG: the soul of the Falcon of the West awakens, holding the banner of the resistance aloft, regenerating HP equal to 100% of ATK and dealing 200% of ATK as DMG to surrounding enemies. This effect can only occur once every 15s.

Black Sword (4✰): Increases DMG dealt by Normal and Charged Attacks by 20%. Additionally, regenerates 60% of ATK as HP when Normal and Charged Attacks score a CRIT Hit. This effect can occur once every 5s.

Artifact

The best Artifact lineup for a Sub-DPS Albedo is:

• Timepiece: ATK % or  DEF % (If you have Constellation 2 Albedo);
• Goblet: Geo DMG Bonus %;
• Crown: Crit Dmg/Rate/DEF %/ATK %.

The recommended substat on each Artifact is Crit Rate %, Crit DNG %, DEF %, ATK %, DEF dan ATK.

Defender’s Will  + Archaic Petra Set:

• Defender’s Will 2 set: DEF +30%;
• Archaic Petra Set 2 set: Gain a 15% Geo DMG Bonus.

This is the recommended set if you have Albedo with Constellation 2 unlocked.

Archaic Petra Set:

• 2 set: Gain a 15% Geo DMG Bonus;
• 4 set: Upon obtaining a crystal created through a Geo Elemental Reaction, all party members gain 35% Elemental DMG Bonus to that particular element for 10s. Only one form of Elemental DMG Bonus can be gained in this manner at any one time.

Use this set if you have 2 characters with the same elements in your party (Pyro, Cryo, Electro, or Hydro).

Gambler + Archaic Petra Set:

• Gambler 2 set: Elemental Skill DMG +20%;
• Archaic Petra Set 2 set: Gain a 15% Geo DMG Bonus.

Noblesse Oblige + Archaic Petra Set:

• Noblesse Oblige 2 set: Elemental Burst DMG+20%;;
• Archaic Petra Set 2 set: Gain a 15% Geo DMG Bonus.
