On 5 November 2022, Trainers was surprised by the arrival of a tiny, strange Pokemon in Pokemon GO after the Community Day Classic Dratini event ended.

After the Community Day event, Yellow Pokestops began to appear and sometimes, if you spun them, you would receive mysterious strange coins. Not only that, but there were small creatures running around our avatar, yet couldn't be caught. Those were none other than Gimmighoul. Gimmighoul loves collecting gold colored coins. It was just a teaser for Gimmighoul's eventual release.

Finally, at the end of February 2023, Gimmighoul was officially released in Pokemon GO during the Pokemon Day. But we wouldn't find Gimmighoul right away unlike other Pokemon. To catch them, you'd need to connect your smartphone device with the Nintendo Switch in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet.

Similar to the previous Mythical Pokemon Meltan, Trainers could get special items when linking Pokemon GO with Nintendo Switch Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. If you don't have Nintendo Switch Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, you could ask for help from your friends who do.

The first way is to open the settings in Pokemon GO, then click Connected Device, Nintendo Switch, then Connect. On the Nintendo Switch Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, go to the Mystery Gift menu and click Connect to Pokemon GO and then Pair with your Pokemon GO account.

Once it's successfully paired, in Pokemon GO, select Postcard, then click on the bottom right menu and click Send to Nintendo Switch. Click Connect to Pokemon GO again on Switch and follow the steps. In your Item Bag, you'll see a new item called: Coin Bag.

You can use these items in Pokemon GO, which, upon activation, would make Gimmighoul appear around your avatar. You could catch Gimmighoul and add it to your Pokedex. So, how to evolve it into Gholdengo?

The trick is to have 999 Gimmighoul coins. You could get these coins if you're lucky enough when playing a Yellow Pokestop in Pokemon GO.

Every 5 day period of picking up Coin Bag from Nintendo Switch, you could also get Golden Lure. When this Golden Lure's installed at a Pokestop, it would turn yellow and when rotated, you'd get coins for farming, so that you could evolve Gimmighoul into Gholdengo. What about you, Trainers?
