The Legendary Pokemon Lugia is making a return to Pokemon GO! After Darkrai comes to Tier 5 Raid Battles in Halloween Event, now in Animation Week Event, Lugia is back with a new Flying-type moveset: AEROBLAST.

This Flying Moveset is very powerful for you to have as an alternative to its Sky Attack. And it will work very well to use against other Raid Bosses like the Fighting & Grass-type Virizion.

Lugia has high HP and DEF stats, making it tanky and doesn’t get faint easily. It will take at least 3 Trainers with a lineup of Pokemon with maxed Combat Power Level to defeat Lugia.

If you and your teammates are nothing more than average, it’d be smart to team up in a 5-person team or more. Don’t forget to use the best Pokemon and Movesets to counter Lugia.

Lugia is of Psychic & Flying-type, so it’s weak against Dark, Ghost, Rock, Electric, and Ice-type attacks. Use Darkrai, Giratina Origin, Rhyperior, Zekrom, or Galarian Darmanitan.

Looking to use a Mega Pokemon against it? Mega Gengar and Mega Houndoom are the best counter for it. But if you don’t have any Super Counter, use any ubiquitous Pokemon who are still good counters against Lugia, such as Golem, Alolan Golem, Gengar, Jolteon, Solrock, Weavile, etc.

Lugia’s Fast Moves are Extrasensory and Dragon Tail, as for its Charged Moves, it has Future Sight, Sky Attack, and Hydro Pump.

Once you’ve defeated Lugia, you will catch it with a max CP of 2,115 (at level 20), and a max CP of 2,645 (at level 25) during the weather boost (Windy). You can even get a Shiny Lugia if you’re lucky.
