Renekton has become one of the hardest Champions to deal with. With his stun and an AoE attack that generates HP for him, he easily becomes a scourge in team fights. But no worries though, as on this occasion, Dunia Games would like to give you some tips on how to counter Renekton in Wild Rift.

So, how should you deal with Nasus’ brother? Take a look!

1. Get an Anti-Lifesteal Item

The first thing you need to do to counter Renekton in Wild Rift is getting an anti-lifesteal item. There are three kinds of anti-lifesteal items. The stats that these items give also depend on the user, whether they’re a Tank, Mage, or Marksman.

If you’re playing a Marksman or a Fighter, you can get Executioner's Calling. This item grants you 20 Attack Damage and is available for 1000 gold. If you’re playing a Mage, you can get Oblivion Orb. This item is 250 gold more expensive with an additional status of 25 Ability Power and 126 HP. If you’re a Tank, you can get Bramble Vest for its 30 Armor at 1000 gold.

2. Avoid Trading Near the Minion Wave

Renekton is exceptionally powerful when he’s in a minion wave. Why? Because he has a skill called Cull The Meek (1), which allows him to get heal based on the number of opponents around him. The more opponents hit by his Cull The Meek (1), Renekton earns more HP. Try to lure him out of the minion wave.

3. Use Ignite If You’re Playing in the Solo Lane

To counter Renekton in the Solo Lane, the writer would like to recommend you to pick Ignite. This spell will make it harder for Renekton to regen, even when he’s in the middle of a minion wave. Lure Renekton into a fight once you’ve used your Ignite on him. However, you still have to keep an eye out for his allies. Quickly back out if you’re in a less than favorable situation.

4. Use Teemo, Olaf, or Pantheon

Similar to other Champions, Renekton also has several counter Champs that give him a difficult time during the laning phase. Some of them are Pantheon, Teemo, and Olaf. These Champions can hold him off in the Solo Lane.

Pantheon can block Renekton’s Cull The Meek (1); Teemo can blind him so Renekton cannot hit him; while Olaf can negate CCs, making him Ruthless Predator (2) useless.

5. Wait for the Mid-Late Game

Renekton is exceptionally powerful during the early game, but he’s significantly weaker in the mid-late game -- especially when dealing with Mages or Marksmen with high mobility like Ezreal or Vayne. Don’t be too aggressive at the beginning of the game (if you’re playing against him in the lane). Draw the game to the mid-game and ask your Jungler for a gank.

So, those were the five tips on how to counter Renekton in Wild Rift. Stick around for more gaming info, and make sure to follow Dunia Games on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
