The Swinub Community Day event returns to Pokemon GO. Titled Community Day Classic: Swinub, this event is making a comeback in the game. The purpose of this event is to give new players the chance to catch Swinub.

Players who participated in the previous event will certainly still enjoy this event as it grants them another opportunity to catch more Swinub spawns as well as farming its candy and XL candy.

Pokemon GO Trainers should log in and play on April 29, 2023, from 14:00 to 17:00 local time.

During this event, Swinub will spawn in large numbers and are very easy to find. The chance of catching the shiny form of Swinub will also be increased during this event.

Therefore, for those of you who don't have Shiny Swinub, you'd certainly want to take part during this event. Complete your pokedex with a light-green Shiny Swinub, which looks utterly different from the usual brown form. Once this event is over, the chance of catching Shiny Swinub will return to its normal rate.

If you evolve Swinub/Piloswine to its final form, Mamoswine, within the time range 14:00-19:00, you will receive the moveset Special Ancient Power.

However, based on my experience, this moveset is not that useful as Mamoswine has other moves that are more suitable for it.

To assign it as your Ice-type Attacker, you should pick Powder Snow and Avalanche for Mamoswine. Whereas if you want to use it as a Ground-type Attacker, it's better to use Mud Slap and High Horsepower.

This event also comes with a bonus of 3x Stardust from catching Pokemon! To get the best out of this, try to use a Starpiece to get 4.5x Stardust from one catch.

Take advantage of this bonus to farm more Stardust by catching as many Pokemon as possible during the event.

Use Incense and Lure Modules - which last for three hours - to increase the spawn rate of Swinub. The Community Day Classic: Swinub event is free and can be played anywhere, the tickets in the shop are just for additional quests. Without these tickets, you can take part in this event.
