The Season of Alola is still ongoing in Pokemon GO until June. And this time, we’ll be having Alolan Geodude Community Day on Saturday, 21 May 2022 from 11:00-14:00 local time.

Geodude, Graveler, and Golem have actually been introduced since Gen 1, but in Gen 7, these Pokemon have other Alolan forms. The Alolan Geodude is of the Rock & Electric-type, unlike Kantonian Geodude, which is of the Rock & Ground-type.

It’s the best time for those of you who haven’t caught Shiny Alolan Geodude as during this Community Day, the Shiny form will spawn more regularly and you’ll have a bigger chance of catching it.

To take part in this event, be sure to use Incense and Lure Module as both items will last for 3 hours. Trainers will also receive 3x Stardust and 2x Candy bonuses from making a catch.

There’s also a Group Bonus, which is if you manage to catch multiple Geodudes using 1 Lure Module, you will get a 4x Stardust bonus. Use Starpiece for another 1.5x Stardust bonus, it’s time to farm some Stardust!

An additional Special Trade and a 50% off on Stardust requirement will also be available from 11:00-16:00. Aside from that, Level 40 and above Trainers will find it easier to obtain Geodude XL Candy during this event.

This event will certainly help you farm lots of Geodude Candy. Don’t forget to evolve your Alolan Geodude/Alolan Graveler into Alolan Golem to get the Special Fast Move, Rollout, between 11:00-16:00 local time.

Golem/Alolan Golem is one of the best, easy-to-obtain, Rock/Electric Attackers to use in Raids or to fight Team Rocket. It’s a great way for newbies to get great Pokemon without having to grind for weeks.

If you haven’t got enough Stardust/Superior Pokemon, you can evolve your highest-CP Geodude in the meantime.

According to Niantic, there will be additional Niantic Pokestops in several places such as Taman Tebet Jakarta, Central Park Mall Jakarta, Cihampelas Walk Bandung, Universitas Brawijaya Malang, and Taman Flora Surabaya.

These additional Pokestops are expected to motivate Trainers to participate in the Community Day at those venues. However, if it’s not possible for you to visit these places, you can still play at home using Incense, Lure Module, or by taking a walk around your house. This Community Day event is free of charge. Whereas the “A Rocky Road” ticket at the shop is just for additional quests.
