The Psychic Spectacular will begin on September 13 in Pokemon GO. It will be a part of the series of events during the Season of Mischief,  which also coincides with the release of Hoopa in the game.

During this event, Psychic-type Pokemon will spawn more often in the wild, which includes Abra, Drowzee, Gothita, Solosis, Elgyem, and many more. We’ll also be seeing Psychic Pokemon as Raid Bosses such as Staryu, Chimecho, Bronzor, Espurr, Alolan Raichu, Wobuffet, Medichamp, Metagros, Lugia, and Mega Slowbro.

Aside from completing the Special Research Task in Season of Mischief, we’ll also be having the arrival of the Dark & Psychic Pokemon, Inkay.

It’s a popular Pokemon that Team Rocket’s James often uses in the anime. It’s an adorable cuttlefish-like Pokemon. You can find Inkay in the wild or from completing a certain research task from the Pokestop.

Inkay can evolve into a much stronger Dark & Psychic-type Pokemon, Malamar. In the series, Malamar holds powerful hypnotic powers. Malamar looks much more intimidating than Inkay and looks like an upside-down Inkay.

As it turns out, this concept also seems to inspire the unique way of its evolution in Pokemon GO. If you have 50 Inkay Candies, you can evolve it by turning your device upside down.
