Booyah! Anyone who has played Free Fire for hours will undoubtedly become skillful with its gameplay, given that the game itself is not as simple as it seems and mastering it will take dozens of hours of gameplay. One of the hardest things to master is the One by One duel in Free Fire, which seems to be the main reason players fail to reach the Booyah.
Fact is, you can apply real-life war strategies on Free Fire, especially when playing duo or squad that require each team member to do their own tasks. But as mentioned above, regardless of the task, each member will have to master the One by One duel in Free Fire.
This is because a lot of Free Fire players out there are still afraid to fight One by One against the enemy. As a result, they usually camp and hunt down the enemy with sniper-type weapons. In order to master the game, there are several tactics you can implement to win the One by One duel in Free Fire.
1. Choose Close-Range Weapons
While an assault rifle can be a good weapon for close-quarter combat, not every weapon of its type is effective for that particular task. During a One by One duel in Free Fire, you should choose a dedicated close-range weapon like a shotgun because its explosive damage is most effective the closer you get to the enemy.
Use the best Free Fire control setting to make it easier to change weapons, reload, shoot, and perform other tasks. Pro players generally set their own input layout for better control rather than using the default layout.
2. Grenade Decides the Duel
Apart from weapons and ammos, there are a couple of other items that you should have in the inventory such as grenades. In Free Fire, a grenade can even decide the tide of the duel, as it can be used to bomb the opponent or defend yourself.
The way you use a grenade also matters. If you’re having a One by One duel in Free Fire but you don’t have enough grenades, use it wisely by utilizing the throw-and-hide tactic, followed by relentless gunfire from the other direction.
3. Become Aggressive Shooter
Pro players tend to become very aggressive when spotting an enemy nearby. However, being aggressive doesn’t mean shooting aimlessly, as you need to be strategic with the relentless shooting like when jumping, crouching or running away to confuse the enemy.
To make it easier to shoot aggressively when playing Free Fire on the phone, make sure to utilize the right button position. Place the jump, crouch and shoot buttons a bit separately but still easy to access with your finger. Playing aggressively is the best way to survive the One by One duel because being passive can lead to more damage taken by you.

4. Push the Enemy to the Edge
There are two possibilities when playing aggressively in front of the enemy: Either they will lose or survive and run away to regenerate themselves. During the latter’s situation, you need to keep chasing after the opponent and push him to the edge with aggressive attacks.
Don’t let your assault go to waste because the opponent regenerates their HP. Leave them no room for opening except if circumstances don’t allow you, such as running low on ammo or another opponent is approaching.
5. Wait for the Enemy to Move
During a chance that the opponent’s moving without noticing you, don’t act hastily by challenging them to a One by One duel in Free Fire. Take advantage of their ignorance by waiting for them to act first and move out of their hiding spot.
Learn how to position the enemy since the first time you jump from the plane. If the enemy’s in a house, the best strategy is to rain bullets on them through the windows or doors. However, make sure to calculate it wisely, since doing this kind of strategy will also leave your position open for the enemy.
6. Take Cover Behind Gloo Wall
Gloo wall is a very useful item on an open area that can protect you from ambushes, heal you, and disturb your opponent’s vision. However, look out for the opponents who use an anti-Gloo rifle called M82B.
Those are the strategies to master the One by One duel in Free Fire because that’s just how important it is to decide your chance at winning the game. Remember that despite its simple outlook, Free Fire is a deep game that requires strategies to master. Happy training!
