After the announcement of the latest Stardew Valley 1.6 update, this time developer Concerned Ape took the time to answer several questions from fans via social media. One of the interesting questions was when one of the fans asked for an update for their upcoming game, namely Haunted Chocolatier, Eric Barone then gave an answer saying that he was excited to get back to working on it, he also added that the reason for delaying the game's development, for now, was because he was focusing on the Stardew Valley 1.6 update. The following is the statement he gave via a post on his official Twitter/X account.

Haunted Chocolatier was first announced in October 2021. Barone then announced a delay in game development in April 2023 to prepare for update 1.6 for Stardew Valley.

Apart from that, he also informed fans that the Stardew Valley update on consoles and PC Game Pass and Windows Store was available. He also answered fans' questions regarding the reasons for the delay in updates on the platform. The developer mentioned how quickly PC patches can be released compared to patches for consoles, due to the certification and verification process. Completing and refining patches for those platforms can make the next patch release more robust.

Currently, Stardew Valley is available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC, mobile devices, and PlayStation Vita. Meanwhile, for Haunted Chocolatier, the game is currently under development for PC. While the possible release date is currently unknown, fans can wait for further news from the developer regarding the development of this game.

From the first trailer, you can see that Haunted Chocolatier is similar to Stardew Valley. This game looks the same in terms of graphics and gameplay. However, in Stardew Valley the player becomes a farm and livestock manager, and then in Haunted Chocolatier, the player will manage a chocolate factory.
