TOHO Movies has announced via a trailer on Wednesday, February 21st 2024 that the 31st 2D animated movie in the Crayon Shin-chan franchise, entitled Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyoryu Nikki (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie : Our Dinosaur Diary), will be released in Japanese cinemas on August 9th 2024.

The trailer for the anime movie Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyoryu Nikki also provides an overview of the movie's setting, Dino Island, an amusement park which is the backdrop for the characters' exciting adventures.

As a special bonus, the cinemas are offering 75,000 preview tickets that include a "Dinosaur Shin-chan" themed capsule hanger, which will certainly be an interesting collection for fans.

This movie will tell the story of the friendship between Shiro, the pet dog of the Nobara family, and a "little dinosaur". The emotional connection between them will help in the character growth of Shinnosuke and the Kusakabe Defense Force.

The director of this movie is Shinobu Sasaki, who was previously involved in the production of various Duel Masters anime, including the Duel Masters TV series in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Meanwhile, Moral, who served as a scriptwriter for the Crayon Shin-chan TV series, is responsible for writing the screenplay for this movie.

Previously, Shin Jigen! Crayon Shin-chan The Movie was the first 3D CG anime movie in the Crayon Shin-chan franchise which premiered on August 4th. This movie succeeded in becoming one of the highest-grossing anime movies in the Crayon Shin-chan franchise.
