Wood Release Jutsu is the rarest kekkei genkai in Naruto and Boruto. This is a tough element to master because it requires a lot of chakras and must combine water and earth elements.

Until the Boruto timeline, there are only a few ninjas who mastered wood element. Ninjas who mastered this style can be counted with fingers. While there are other ninjas who mastered this technique, but they received from Senju Hashirama’s body cell injection into their body.

6. Zetsu

Madara creates Zetsu from Gedo Mazo’s part. Because the ten tail shell has Senju Hashirama’s cell when resurrected by Madara, Zetsus are sure can use the wood release as well. Their powers are mediocre, but due to many numbers of Zetsus out there, it makes the enemy think twice to face him.

5. Moegi Kazamatsuri

This kunoichi (female ninja) turns out can use wood release naturally! If there’s a ninja who can use wood release jutsu, it can be sure that the ninja will be a great ninja, and it’s Moegi

Even though it’s yet to be revealed in the anime, Moegi has already been proven to be able to use this technique, as stated on her ninja profile in the manga.

4. Yamato

Yamato is Orochimaru’s human experiment with Senju Hashirama’s cell. That cell that grants him to control wood release after he was born.

His unique ability later discovered by Danzo and recruited him as Anbu Root operative and serves as a reinforcement to seal Kurama if he’s going rampage when Naruto is yet to master the nine tail’s chakra.

3. Madara Uchiha

Similar to Yamato, Madara Uchiha also used the First Hokage’s cell to master the wood release. With this rare element, his powers are getting stronger.

At first, the leader of the Uchiha clan still cannot control the wood release. After resurrected from dead with Kabuto’s Edo Tensei and a little bit modification, Madara can use wood release easily.

2. Ashura Otsutsuki

As Hagoromo’s descendant, the Otsutsuki clan gives Ashura a massive amount of chakra supply. Ashura can also be the first ninja to use ninjutsu, and he can master all elements, including wood release.

1. Hashirama Senju

The only owner of wood release in the ninja world. Also known as the First Hokage, he has a massive amount of chakra due to being Ashura’s descendants. Aside from releasing and controlling this rare element, Hashirama can also wood element for the strongest ninja techniques ever existed, and even the wood element grants him additional power to seal Bijuu.
