The Batman is the latest movie from DC, where this movie will be the gateway to a number of DC movies and TV series later. The reason is, after The Batman, Warner Bros. will be working on quite a number of movies and series, some of them are already set for release.

Until now the DC Extended Universe has undergone many changes because of the poor performance of some of its biggest movies, which prompted the studio to make several changes to its future projects. While Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck's Batman versions will return in The Flash, viewers will meet another Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves' The Batman. Now with Robert Pattinson as the main character, The Batman will explore the story of the younger Bruce Wayne in his second year of fighting crime in Gotham and explore his detective side, which is often forgotten in other Batman movies.

Batman will face off against the Riddler (Paul Dano), a serial killer who targets the elite citizens of Gotham, but during his investigation, he will uncover corruption linked to his own family.

In his adventures, Batman will also encounter other famous villains from the comics, such as Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro) and Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin (Colin Farrell).
