The My Hero Academia anime officially ended on December 13, 2025. Besides the happy ending that showed Midoriya and his friends' success as heroes, there were also interesting things revealed in this episode. Midway through the episode, a boy named Dai was shown. He looked exactly like Midoriya in elementary school.
It was mentioned that Dai had a weak quirk. He could project a kind of disk from his hair. However, his friends said that with a quirk like that, it would be difficult for him to get into hero school. Near the All Might statue, Dai accidentally collided with Midoriya. Dai himself idolized Midoriya because he was the one who saved the world from Shigaraki.
Dai told Midoriya about his problems. However, the hero who saved the world only smiled and said that anyone can be a hero. This conversation was similar to when All Might told Midoriya that he could be a hero even without a quirk. Dai himself had already demonstrated his heroic qualities when he tried to help the boy who had fallen.
Some fans even think Dai could very well become the "next Midoriya" if there's a sequel to My Hero Academia. Besides his original quirk, Dai could inherit other powers like One For All. While there's currently no information about a sequel to My Hero Academia, we can still watch the spin-off My Hero Academia: Vigilante, which recently revealed its second season.
