An American comic book publisher Dark Horse Comics and video game publisher CD Projekt Red on Monday (22/6) announced a partnership to release a comic book titled Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team. Hence its name, the comic is a tie-in to the video game that will be focusing on Trauma Team International, a group of paramedics featured in the game.
Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team is written by Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, Uncanny X-Men), while Miguel Valderrama (Giants) and Jason Wordie will serve as an artist and colorist. Reporting from Comicbook, the main character will be Nadia who works in Trauma Team International.
“Nadia, a member of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Trauma Team International, is the only survivor of a failed mission in the team. After agreeing to return in a new mission, Nadia and her new partner found the two trapped under a more dangerous situation than before that threatens their lives,” said Dark Horse Comics on describing Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team.
Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team is scheduled to be released in the United States on September 9 this year. Upon release, this comic book will be the first media to introduce Cyberpunk 2077 to the world as the game keeps delayed.
For your information, Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed twice. Initially, the game was scheduled for April 16, 2020 release, but at the beginning of this year, CD Projekt Red announced that the release date has changed to September 17. Sadly, this June, the publisher announced again that the game gets delayed until November 19, 2020.
Hopefully, with the continuous delay, everything will be paid off with an outstanding game.
