Dead by Daylight (DBD) is back with an exciting game mode featuring a special twist! After the success of the Dragons and Dungeons Chaos Shuffle event, this time the Resident Evil (RE) franchise joins in on the 2v8 mode. This game mode involves two killers who must face off against eight survivors. The chaotic concept intensifies with Resident Evil characters like Wesker and Nemesis, taking action on the RPD (Raccoon Police Department) map.

The 2v8 Resident Evil mode will begin on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST / 4 PM GMT, and will run until February 25, 2025. This is a rare opportunity to encounter both legendary killers in a single match.

Additionally, RE fans will be able to complete challenges within this mode to earn new Resident Evil-themed cosmetics.

In this 2v8 mode, the number of survivors is increased to eight, which makes the map larger, and there are 13 generators to repair. Survivors will not only need to cooperate, but they must also choose one of four available classes: The Guide, The Medic, The Escapist, and The Scout, each with special abilities.

Interestingly, both killers and survivors cannot use their usual perks. Killers like Nurse and Trapper will gain extra powers, such as an additional Blink for Nurse or more traps for Trapper. Survivors will have to survive by picking the class that fits their playstyle.

At the end of the game, three exit hatches will open, but only one survivor can escape through each hatch before it closes. This adds extra tension as the remaining survivors try to make it out alive.
