Defeating AURORA, AE's Debut at the M7 World Championship Goes Smoothly!

The match between Alter Ego Esports and AURORA took place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, marking the conclusion of the first day of the Swiss Stage of the M7 World Championship. As we all know, this was Alter Ego's second M-Series competition, having last appeared at the M2 World Championship in 2020. Of course, much has changed since then.

Going into the match, Alter Ego surprised many fans with their unique hero selections, including Leomord for Yazuke and Freya for Arfy. Meanwhile, AURORA chose the unique heroes Sora and Nolan. The two teams appeared evenly matched early in the game, with a fairly intense exchange of attacks. However, Alter Ego prevailed with their mastery of the turtle.

The battle intensified towards the mid game, with both teams competing collectively, but the first Lord fell to Alter Ego. A teamfight ensued in the mid area, with Sigibum and Tienzy defeated by Yazuke. Attempting to attack AURORA's base, Novaria Rosa managed to defend, and the game continued. Alter Ego regained control of Lord and attempted to attack AURORA.

Unfortunately, AURORA once again managed to stifle Lord's advance, and the two teams resumed their battle. The battle for the third Lord proved crucial. Sigibum managed to take down two Alter Ego players, and Tienzy secured the Lord. AURORA attempted a counterattack on Alter Ego's base, but was repelled. The two teams returned to battle for the fourth Lord.

Alter Ego regained control of Lord. Arfy knocked Sigibum out, and Alter Ego quickly attacked AURORA again. The Lord successfully entered the enemy's area, causing AURORA players to fall, and Alter Ego ultimately secured their first victory at the M7 World Championship. This was a great start for El Familia Nino and friends.
