Tasia Eda "Tazy" Lestari, a well-known female coach, has made her debut with Bigetron Esports in MPL ID S15. After years of working with the women's MLBB team, she's now taking on the role of assistant coach for Bigetron in MPL Indonesia.

Her arrival has already made waves, as Bigetron Esports took down two major teams, Team Liquid ID and RRQ Hoshi, in the fourth week of the season. Tazy's impact on the team's success is undeniable. Stepping into the role of a female coach in MPL ID comes with its challenges, and Tazy feels the weight of the responsibility.

However, she understands that making history takes time and is committed to valuing every step of her journey. From building a top women's MLBB squad in Indonesia to now aiming for the championship with Bigetron, Tazy is on a mission.

What challenges has she faced, and what has her journey as a female coach in MPL ID been like?

BTR Tazy's Inspiring Path to Becoming a Female Coach at MPL ID

In the fourth week of MPL Indonesia Season 15 (MPL ID S15), together with the media and Moonton Indonesia coach Tazy or BTR Tazy discussed how she prepared herself to make her debut as a female coach in MPL ID. As we know, Tazy is the first.

Previously, she had coached at MDL and also brought Bigetron Era to become the best MLBB Women's team in Indonesia and even the world. Tazy admitted that she was already confident even when she coached at MDL.

"When it comes to thinking about this opportunity, several times since I (coached) at MDL ID S10 I didn't overthink about anything because I myself am already confident," said Tazy.

However, Tazy considers that taking on the responsibility as a female coach in MPL ID is difficult. So, she needs to prepare herself for some time and when the opportunity comes to her, she is ready to carry out the mandate.

“I took this job before, I thought it would definitely be difficult. Because there had never been a female (coach), so I had prepared myself. When the opportunity came, and there were no more questions, I was ready,” Tazy added.

Tazy stated that she did not face any difficulties from herself. However, she admitted that there was a long process that she had to go through. For her, it was not easy to become a female coach at MPL ID so she needed to prove many things. However, Tazy still believed in the process she was going through.

“There were no difficulties from herself, because to take this job we must have high self-confidence, right? Maybe the process was difficult. In my opinion, for the job I took as a coach, there were no women at all. What I thought was because there were no (women) at all, I had to prove many things first,” Tazy explained.

“Yes, I accepted all the risks, I accepted that maybe I had to go through a long process first (I) believed in the process, I continued the process even though I didn’t know when it would happen,” she explained.

For Tazy, carrying out the mandate to be part of the Bigetron Esports coaching staff at MPL ID S15 makes him grateful. Tazy feels that after 7 years in the scene, finally what he believed in about trusting the process became a reality, what he believed in was proven.

"My first feeling (coaching at MPL ID), was grateful. Because finally I have been in this Mobile Legends scene for almost 7 years, so what I feel is grateful because finally all my positive thoughts, words and what I believe in are proven when we believe the process will have its time even though we don't know when, even though we have to wait 7 years first, like that," he concluded.
