The M7 World Championship continues with the Swiss Stage, where 16 teams will compete for eight spots to advance to the Knockout Stage. The Swiss Stage will present the participating teams with significant challenges. Playing in best-of-1 (BO1) and best-of-3 (BO3) matchups, all teams must be prepared for any situation. This is also where ONIC begins their journey at the M7 World Championship.

ONIC's debut at the M7 World Championship kicks off the first day of the Swiss Stage, where they will face a Turkish team that qualified from the Wild Card round: Boostgate Esports, coached by Indonesian coach Yosua "Tezet" Sanger. Can Boostgate Esports disrupt ONIC's debut at the M7 World Championship? Or will ONIC start their journey with a victory?

A Sweet Comeback Against Boostgate, ONIC's M7 World Championship Debut Goes Smoothly!

As previously mentioned, each round of the Swiss Stage will consist of best-of-1 (BO1) and best-of-3 (BO3) series. For rounds 1 and 2, participants will play in a best-of-1 (BO1) format. Of course, these are not matches to be taken lightly. All participating teams must be cautious, including ONIC in this M7 World Championship match against Boostgate Esports.

Playing against Boostgate Esports, the two teams appeared evenly matched at the start. However, Kazue's Hayabusa play made ONIC's movements quite difficult. Boostgate, with quite aggressive and collective play, tried to limit ONIC's movement. Boostgate easily dismantled ONIC's defensive turrets one by one, opening up opportunities to end the game easily.

Boostgate successfully secured Lord, crippling ONIC's players. Kazue and his teammates managed to penetrate ONIC's base, although Kairi and his teammates still managed to defend well. Boostgate retreated to reset and try to steal ONIC's buff. A battle for the second Lord ensued, with Kairi and Skylar successfully repelling Boostgate's opponents.

Onic lost Lord, and Kairi and his teammates moved quickly to try and turn the tide. Although ONIC launched a flurry of attacks on Boostgate, Kazue and her teammates refused to give up. They repelled ONIC's attacks, and the game resumed. Boostgate successfully stole the third Lord, with Karrie Rx nimbly outpacing Kairi.

Nevertheless, ONIC managed to suppress Lord's advance, and the game continued for over 25 minutes. A teamfight ensued in the mid zone, with Eksi and Kazue falling, and ONIC built momentum for a comeback. Lord was regained by ONIC, and Kairi and her teammates moved quickly to attack Boostgate again. Lord successfully penetrated the enemy base, forcing ONIC to end the game, and ultimately, Kairi and her teammates' epic comeback resulted in victory.

ONIC's debut at the M7 World Championship went smoothly, despite the incredibly intense match between the two teams. ONIC advanced to the winners' table, while Boostgate advanced to the losers' table. ONIC faced Yangon Galacticos in Round 2, and Boostgate Esports will face their Wild Card rivals, Team Zone from Mongolia, on Day 2.
