Team Nemesis triumphed over RRQ, leading to disappointing result for their debut at IKL Spring 2025.
The match between RRQ and Team Nemesis occurred on Friday, April 11, 2025. As the first match of the day, fans of the competitive Honor of Kings (HOK) scene were eager to see which team would claim the initial victory—RRQ or Team Nemesis.
This showdown was held in a best of 3 (BO3) format. In the opening game, Team Nemesis displayed remarkable confidence against RRQ. Despite being a newcomer team, their players, equipped with extensive experience, showcased their skills effectively.
During the first game, RRQ found themselves under significant pressure. Team Nemesis's aggressive strategy kept the King on the defensive. Although RRQ attempted to regain control, the solid teamwork from Team Nemesis thwarted their efforts. With a decisive push, Team Nemesis secured the first game, winning by a single point.
In the second game, RRQ bounced back and shifted the pressure onto Team Nemesis. The inclusion of Chano, played by Harpist, alongside Biron as the powerhouse from Nightmare, proved to be a crucial factor. Dominating from the outset, RRQ managed to level the score.
As the third game commenced, RRQ struggled once more against Team Nemesis's relentless aggression. The onslaught of attacks seemed unyielding, giving Team Nemesis the upper hand. A pivotal team fight erupted in the 17th minute, leading to several RRQ players being eliminated.
On the brink of losing their base, RRQ managed to hold on for a moment. The game progressed with Team Nemesis maintaining their advantage. Frederica attempted a split push while Nightmare defended RRQ's base. The situation became increasingly dire, and RRQ found it difficult to withstand the pressure.
With Nightmare and Muhfers defeated, Team Nemesis achieved an ace, concluding the third game with a 2-1 victory over RRQ. This loss was undoubtedly a significant setback for the King, but there is hope that they will regroup and perform better in their next match.
