Not only ninjutsu and taijutsu, there is one other jutsu in Naruto world that also deadly namely genjutsu, illusionary technique. Through genjutsu, a ninja can influence the minds of others to make them unconscious, brainwashed and follow orders, or even death!

To defend themselves from this the ninja also has a number of special techniques on their sleeves. What can they do to avoid being trapped in the world of illusion? Check out the list below.

8. Ordinary Ninja - Genjutsu Kai

For first protection, since they become a Genin, a ninja has been equipped with a technique called Genjutsu Kai or Genjutsu Dissipation. When they realize that there is an oddity around them or feel trapped in an illusion, simply channeling chakra throughout the body while forming a tiger seal then they will be released from the genjutsu.

Besides for themselves, Genjutsu Kai users can release friends or people around by forming tiger seals and touching their bodies. It's just that this technique is only effective for wiping out low-level genjutsu.

7. Ordinary Ninja - Self-Injuring

Besides that, a person can also injure his own body to bring back their senses; because the genjutsu illusion only affects the brain, making the victims 'feel' that they experiences the illusion that appears before them. Then the real and quite painful physical injury can dispel the illusion.

6. Might Guy - Not Looking At The Opponent’s Eye

As Kakashi's number one rival, Guy developed various ways so he could be superior to his rival. He also found a way so that the eyes of the Sharingan could not affect him: by fighting without looking at the face or eyes of the enemy and only see the movements of the opponent’s legs.

5. Deidara -  Train His Left Eye

Upset because of Itachi's great reputation and ability as the owner of the Sharingan, Deidara had a one-sided rivalry relationship. In order to surpass Itachi, somehow Deidara claimed to have trained his left eye so that he could counterattack to the Sharingan genjutsu.

4. Kirigakure Ninja - Kirigakure no Jutsu

Just like Guy who found a way to 'prevent' being trapped in genjutsu, Kirigakure ninja can also do the same. By using Kirigakure no Jutsu and making the battlefield full of fog, the users of eye genjutsu like the Sharingan will find it difficult to find the targets while they can move freely.

3. Aburame Clan - Kikaichu Insect

Because the brain structure is very simple, the kikaichu ninja insect cannot be influenced by genjutsu. This allows the Aburame Clan to identify and counterattack the genjutsu through their insects.

2. Uchiha Clan - Sharingan

As the owner of kekkei genkai Sharingan, it can be said that the Uchiha clan is “immune” to genjutsu because the Sharingan eye is able to launch their own genjutsu and also detect the difference or oddity created by the illusion towards the real world.

Not only that, they can also free others who are trapped by genjutsu by inserting their self-projections into the illusion and helping them.

1. Jinchuuriki - Ask for Bijuu’s Help

Even though Jinchuuriki and Bijuu are in 'one body', their consciousness remains separated. So that when the host is exposed to genjutsu, the Bijuu will still remain conscious and be able to channel chakra to free their Jinchuuriki.
