Good news has come for those of you who have been waiting for the latest updates regarding the upcoming season of Demon Slayer. The release date of the 3rd season of Demon Slayer/Kimetsu No Yaiba has just been announced. On Wednesday (01/03), the official Twitter account for Demon Slayer announced that the anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato-Hen) will premiere on 9 April 2023 at 23:55 GMT+9 on Fuji TV. 

The official Twitter account also posted the second promotional video and new key visual for the third season of the Demon Slayer anime. This video also introduces the opening theme song "Kizuna no Kiseki" (Bonds of Miracle) by MAN WITH A MISSION featuring milet.

The third season of Demon Slayer will discuss the Swordsmith Village arc, the continuation of the story after the events in the Entertainment District arc of Season 2 of Demon Slayer. The next chapter will cover the adventures of Tanjiro and his colleagues who travel to the Swordsman Village, so that one of the swordsmen working with the Demon Slayer Corps named Hotaru Haganezuka can repair Tanjiro's sword which he previously broke in his last epic battle against the upper rank demon.

From the trailer above, we can see many new high-ranking demons making appearances, as well as the presence of the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji and the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito. The many promised actions, as well as the presence of new characters in the third season of Demon Slayer make this anime certainly worth waiting for.

Season 3 of Demon Slayer is still being handled by the animation studio Ufotable, with the director, Haruo Satozaki, returning to be in charge of the production. While Akira Matsushima serves as the character designer and chief animation director.

Before entering the third season, fans can catch a glimpse of this new season through the anime film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village – which will air in theaters starting March 3.
