Gameloft announced that Disney Dreamlight Valley will leave its Early Access period on December 5, 2023, and will no longer be free to play. This announcement was made along with confirmation that the game's latest paid expansion is currently underway. Disney Dreamlight Valley will be released in full via  PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, as well as PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, and Mac App Store.

The announcement regarding the game's decision to become paid was made by Gameloft on the game's announcement page on Steam. "As we look forward to the official launch, with the learnings we gained from Early Access, we have made the decision to remain a paid game for the foreseeable future," said Gameloft on the page. “This means we will not transition to a free-to-play game when we leave Early Access on December 5th. This choice ensures that Disney Dreamlight Valley will be able to continue to deliver premium gaming experiences to all players.” as written on the Steam page of the Disney Dreamlight Valley game.

However, for those of you who are currently playing it in early access, you don't need to worry, because players will still have access to the full game and maintain your game progress. Gameloft confirmed that every player's Moonstones and game saves will remain intact during the transition to the game's full launch. The announcement also confirms that the game will not transition to a free release with the possibility that the game will continue to have free updates and ensures that in-game purchases remain optional.

A new edition of Disney Dreamlight Valley will be released alongside the full launch, which will be available in a standard edition and a Gold Edition that can earn additional in-game bonuses including 15,000 Moonstones and three new cosmetic items. Players playing since Early Access can also claim this item by purchasing the Founder's Pack by December 4, 2023.

Disney Dreamlight Valley will leave Early Access on December 5, 2023. It will be available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
