Wildcard M7 become something interesting.

Indonesia has long been recognized as one of the world’s leading producers of top-tier Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) talent, particularly at the professional player level. However, the Wildcard phase of the M7 World Championship has once again proven that Indonesia’s strength has not been limited to in-game performance alone, but has also extended behind the scenes through its coaching pedigree.

At the M7 Wildcard, three coaches who have previously built their foundations in Indonesia have gone on to lead teams from three different regions. Tezet (Bootsgate Esports / Türkiye), Vren (Guangzhou Gaming / China), and FlySolo (Virtus.pro / EECA) have all been locked in a tight race for the two remaining slots into the Swiss Stage.

Indonesia’s intense and highly demanding MLBB competitive environment has consistently functioned as an effective proving ground for coaches. That experience has since been carried onto the global stage, with the M7 Wildcard serving as a platform to validate the coaching quality forged in Indonesia.

Different Starts, the Same Goal at Wildcard M7

Among the three, FlySolo and Vren have opened their Wildcard M7 campaigns with perfect 2–0 records in their opening matches. Those results have immediately positioned Virtus.pro and Guangzhou Gaming as strong contenders to secure qualification to the Swiss Stage.

Meanwhile, Tezet and Bootsgate Esports have recorded a 1–1 result in the early phase of the Wildcard. While not as ideal as the starts achieved by the other two coaches, the outcome has still kept Bootsgate firmly in contention heading into the remainder of the group phase.

Tezet, Indonesia’s Sole Coaching Representative

Tezet has stood as the only Indonesian coach competing in the M7 Wildcard. The coach, whose real name is Yosua Sanger, has led Bootsgate Esports to M7 after finishing as runners-up at the MTC Türkiye Championship Season 6—an improvement compared to the team’s previous seasonal performances.

Tezet’s name has already been well established within the Indonesian MLBB scene. He has previously drawn attention for reviving AURA Fire from a difficult period and guiding them to back-to-back third-place finishes at MPL ID Season 9 and Season 10, which marked the organization’s best results at the time.

His experience in MPL Indonesia has formed a critical foundation before continuing his coaching career overseas. Now with Bootsgate, Tezet has once again demonstrated his credentials on the international stage, despite the fierce level of competition present at Wildcard M7.

FlySolo, A Career That Has Risen After Indonesia

Although he holds Filipino nationality, FlySolo began his coaching journey in Indonesia. He first assumed the role with PABZ Esports in MDL ID Season 6 before moving on to Pendekar Esports the following season.

While he did not immediately achieve major success during his time in Indonesia, FlySolo’s career trajectory has accelerated significantly after his move abroad. He has coached teams such as Deus Vult (EECA), Todak (MPL MY), and See You Soon (MPL KH), before eventually joining Virtus.pro in May 2025.

At the M7 Wildcard, FlySolo has quickly made an impact by securing a 2–0 start with Virtus.pro, reinforcing his reputation as a tactically mature and regionally adaptive coach.

Vren, Proof of the Value of MPL Indonesia Experience

Vren has followed a similar path. The Filipino coach initially began his career in MPL PH with TNC Pro Team, before experiencing the intensity of MPL Indonesia after being recruited by Bigetron Esports for MPL ID Season 10.

After returning to the Philippines with BREN Esports, Vren was once again trusted by an Indonesian organization when RRQ Hoshi brought him in for MPL ID Season 13. That cross-regional experience has since become a major asset in his current role with Guangzhou Gaming at the M7 Wildcard.

Despite having been questioned during his time in Indonesia, Vren has now proven his quality by leading a Chinese representative to a solid showing and opening the Wildcard with a convincing 2–0 record.

Indonesia, More Than Just a Player Factory

The stories of Tezet, FlySolo, and Vren have reaffirmed that Indonesia’s MLBB ecosystem has not only produced elite players, but has also functioned as a breeding ground for world-class coaches. High pressure, relentless competition, and immediate performance demands have shaped coaching profiles capable of competing on the global stage.

With only two Swiss Stage slots available, the Wildcard M7 battle has remained wide open. Yet one thing has already been made clear: Indonesia’s influence has once again been strongly felt at M7—this time through the coaches forged within its competitive ecosystem.
