In 2018, Donnie Yen uploaded his picture as Wei Shen, the protagonist of the Sleeping Dogs in his Instagram account. After two years, news has surfaced that the movie based on a video game of the game name will star the Ip Man himself.

Via @donnieyenofficial Instagram account, he also shared a video of himself doing some warming ups, added with hashtags like #sleepingdogs dan #thenameiswei and a caption “I am excited to start preparing for the next challenge and aiming to make another breakthrough movie!” wrote Yen on his post.
