The presence of Donnie Yen can be said to be an interesting surprise considering that his character will appear as John Wick’s friend, not his enemy. Of course, his martial arts expertise is inherent as the figure of IP Man, making Donnie Yen able to help John Wick who is already an awesome character. So that raises the question, what kind of enemy will John Wick face this time?

Being one of the talented actors from Asia, Donnie Yen does specialize in hand-to-hand combat like in the IP Man franchise. In addition to starring in the IP Man franchise, Donnie Yen has also starred in several Hollywood films, starting from xXx: Return of Xander Cage and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as a core character in both films.

John Wick 4 is planned to be filmed in various countries ranging from France, Germany, and Japan.
