Tentomushi Comics will present the seventh volume of Fujiko Fujio's Doraemon Plus manga on December 1st 2023 to commemorate Tentomushi Comics' 50th anniversary. The date also coincides with the 90th anniversary of the birth of the late Fujiko F. Fujio, co-creator of Doraemon. After a nine-year hiatus, the final volume of the Doraemon Plus manga was released in 2014.

Doraemon Plus was first introduced in 2005 as a collection of Doraemon stories by Fujiko F. Fujio (whose real name is Hiroshi Fujimoto) that had never appeared in book form in the original 45-volume release. The sixth volume of Doraemon Plus features 21 stories, and the upcoming seventh volume will feature 20 exciting stories.

Shogakukan launched F Life magazine in celebration of Fujiko Fujio's 80th birthday in 2014. Limited edition merchandise, special magazines, video games, and exhibitions have showcased characters from the maestro's works.

Another Doraemon creator, Fujiko Fujio A (real name is Motoo Abiko), passed away in April 2022 at his residence in Kawasaki, Tokyo, at the age of 88.

Fujiko Fujio A and Fujiko F. Fujio co-created the world-famous Doraemon manga, telling the story of a future robot cat named Doraemon and his friendship with a boy named Nobita. The manga ran from 1970 to 1996. The two parted ways in 1987, with Abiko taking the name Fujiko Fujio A, and Fujimoto taking the name Fujiko Fujio F (later Fujiko F. Fujio).

Fujimoto passed away in 1996. The manga spawned one of the most successful children's media franchises in the world, inspiring various anime movies and three different anime series. The third anime series began in 2005 and remains one of the highest-rated anime on Japanese television every week.
