Duke O' Death vs. Armored Kuruma, Which One’s Better?
Mobil mana yang lebih cocok untuk para pemula GTA Online?
Games | 11 June
Duke O’ Death and Armored Kuruma share the reputation as the two most useful cars for GTA 5 Online beginners. However, even that both are equally useful, Duke O’ Death and Armored Kuruma have quite significant differences, and on this occasion, we’ll be comparing these two beautiful cars so you won’t be regretting your decision of purchasing either of them.
Speed Test
The first test that we run to compare these two vehicles was a speed test. At the Los Santos International Airport runway which is about 1,500 meters, the Duke O' Death was able to graze the end of the runway in 21.4 seconds. Whereas the Armored Kuruma was able to reach the end of the strip in 23.02 seconds.
This shows that even though the Duke O' Death has worse acceleration compared to the Armored Kuruma, the Duke O' Death proves to has a far better top-speed than the Armored Kuruma.

Duke O' Death
This car is available for purchase on the Warstock Cache & Carry website for $665,000. Falls into the muscle car category, the Duke O' Death arguably has bad handling and acceleration. The handling is quite stiff and when it accelerates, the Duke O' Death tends to wheelspin, which makes this car even more uncomfortable to drive in.
Aside from that, the windshield has a lot of openings for opponents to take their chances of getting a clear headshot.
The positive from the Duke O' Death is its extreme durability of the armor. If you’ve upgraded this car to the highest-quality armor, it’ll be able to withstand up to five Homing Launcher missiles and three RPG shots. So, it’s fair to say that the Duke O' Death is extremely durable in enduring enemies’ missile attacks.
Pros:
- Higher top-speed than the Armored Kuruma
- High armor resistance toward missile attacks
Cons:
- Hard to control
- Bad acceleration
- Carries only two-person
- Sub-par driver protection against bullet
Armored Kuruma
This car is an armored version of the Karin Kuruma, and available for purchase on the Southern San Andreas Super Autos website for $525,000.
One thing that stands out from the Armored Kuruma in my opinion, is its exceptional windshield’s resistance towards bullets. I’ve shot more than 300 bullets with a Carbine Rifle MKII, and I was still unable to break this car’s windshield.
Yet, unfortunately, the Armored Kuruma can’t withstand any missile attacks. This car will easily be destroyed by one shot of a Homing Launcher or RPG.
But, aside from that, the excellent handling and acceleration of this car definitely give it an edge over other cars. Quite in contrast to the Duke O' Death which is really a nightmare to drive in.
Pros:
- Very easy to control
- Suitable for various GTA Online missions
- Can carry up to four-person
- Reliable bulletproof armor and windshield
Cons:
- Slower than the Duke O' Death
- Highly vulnerable toward missile attacks
- Not suitable for PvP
Both of these cars can serve as nice additions to your garage with their own respective uniqueness. However, for beginner players, we’d recommend getting your hands on the Armored Kuruma first since it’s far more practical than the Duke O' Death.
There are a lot of missions in GTA Online that will be a lot easier if you use the Armored Kuruma. To name a few, Headhunter Missions, Doomsday Heists, Contact Missions, and many more.
