FromSoftware once again surprised Elden Ring Nightreign players by releasing version 1.01.2 early in the morning on June 10, 2025. This update brings various bug fixes and technical adjustments aimed at improving the gameplay experience. Interestingly, it comes shortly after a previous patch meant to resolve matchmaking issues, particularly those related to remembrance quests.
The latest update temporarily brought Elden Ring Nightreign servers offline for about an hour. In an official statement posted on Twitter, FromSoftware detailed the changes included in patch 1.01.2. One major fix addresses the boss battle against Wormface. Previously, some players were unable to rescue teammates who were near death after being grabbed by the boss—this issue has now been resolved.
Another key improvement fixes a bug in the Guardian’s Remembrance quest titled “Find the Demon Merchant in Limveld,” where the Demon Merchant NPC failed to appear on the map as intended. Additional technical fixes include recalculated passive effects for bows and corrections to indirect weapon skill attacks that were incorrectly applying status ailments.
The patch also resolves abnormal behavior from the enemy Libra, Creature of Night, and fixes stability issues during the boss fight against Adel, Baron of Night. Furthermore, weapons with the passive effect Projectile Damage Drop-Off Reduced—which previously didn’t appear in loot drops from chests or enemies—are now properly included.
While the community has responded positively to the update for addressing these technical problems, many players are still eagerly awaiting the addition of a duos mode. Since the game was announced in December 2024, fans have been asking for this feature. Currently, expeditions only allow solo play or groups of three. FromSoftware has confirmed that it is working on the mode, though no official release date has been announced.
With over 3.5 million players joining within just five days of its launch on May 30, Elden Ring Nightreign continues to grow and evolve. As content steadily expands and more features are in development, many fans are optimistic about the game’s future and its potential to become one of FromSoftware’s most successful titles.
