A great ninja isn’t born that way. Usually, their greatness came not just from battle experiences, but also their personalities and wiseness taught from their home environment. 

And as we have known, there are a lot of Great Ninjas coming from Konohagakure village. Say, Naruto, Kakashi, Itachi, and many others. Turns out, that their Fathers have big roles which make them legendary ninjas.

Who are the Konoha ninja Dads who successfully nurtured their kids to greatness? Let’s take a look at this list!

6. Butsuma Senju

A father of 4 in the bloody Civil War era, Butsuma had stern teaching toward his kids. Even after losing 2 of his children, Butsuma has never shown sadness and believes they’re gone as real Shinobis.

That what drove Hashirama to create a peaceful future for the next ninja generations. Meanwhile, the firmness of Butsuma was passed down to Tobirama, who’s capable of balancing out his older brother’s logic to lead Konohagakure Valley in the latter days.

5. Might Duy

Guy’s Dad who failed to level up from Genin during his lifetime.

Despite remembered as the “Eternal Genin”, Duy’s teaching toward his son regarding fighting spirit was able to nurture Guy into a great Jonin even including perfected the Eight Gates and passing down his spirits to younger ninja generations.

4. Shikaku Nara

Clan Nara’s member typically known as ninjas with higher level of intelligence. However, it’s not just his intelligence which made Shikamaru became a great ninja, the life lessons taught by Shikaku were what shaped his character --even that he looks lazy, he’s always been reliable when the time comes.

Shikamaru Nara had also successfully become a great ninja with lots of experience. Not just graduated as the only Chuunin in his class, he has also been offered to join as Fire Nations Special Forces’, to guard the Daimyo.

3. Sakumo Hatake

Kakashi himself idolizes his father’s greatness who often referred to as “Konoha’s White Fang” in the entire ninja world.

Sakumo was seen as a great ninja not just for his battle prowess, but also for being a ninja who’s loyal with his partners, a trait respected by Obito and Kakashi in latter days.

This particular teaching that Kakashi passed down to his pupils in Team 7, which also influenced Naruto who made it as his own life principle.

2. Fugaku Uchiha

This Clan Uchiha’s leader has two children, Itachi and Sasuke.

Fugaku had such a strong responsibility towards his clan’s well being but always made time to teach Itachi as his successor. Although he seemed like a cold and stern father in Sasuke’s eyes, Fugaku actually always tried to support his self-improvement.

As he’s been shown the result of the Third Shinobi World War, it also made Itachi to have a peace-loving approach toward things and tries to avoid unnecessary conflicts -- one of them was by looking for better ways to prevent the Uchiha Clan’s rebellion, even that it wasn’t successful.

As well as Sasuke, who in the beginning was an uncertain ninja, but eventually became the savior and always protects Konoha from hidden threats.

1. Minato Namikaze

Naruto’s father does have a lot of achievements, one of them is becoming the fourth Hokage. He’s willing to sacrifice himself to protect his son and people. His selflessness and fighting spirit also passed down to Naruto.

His main jutsu, Rasengan, also indirectly was passed down to Naruto by Minato’s teacher, Jiraiya.

Minato and his wife Kushina even sealed parts of themselves with the Nine-Tailed Beast to prepared Naruto in confronting Kurama in the latter days.
