This is evident because EVOS appears to be replacing their EXP Laner, Rendy, and has chosen to place him in their MDL squad for the upcoming season. This vacancy should certainly not be taken lightly, especially since EVOS needs an experienced player to accompany Albert, along with the younger players.

The perfect candidate is indeed Luke. For the past season, Luke has indeed chosen to take a break and become a talent with Bigetron Esports. However, his playing skills have continued to be honed over time, making Luke appear ready to return to the competitive scene at any time. Rumors about EVOS Luke have been circulating fast and furious, especially since many EVOS fans, also known as EVOS Fams, have supported this move. Luke and Albert also appear to be close, making the process of building chemistry easier.

In the end, EVOS Luke is no longer just a rumor. EVOS officially announced Luke's arrival on the team on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. The announcement was made exclusively on the EVOS TV YouTube channel. Luke's arrival was dubbed "The New Face. A new face, new spirit - additional ammunition for MPL S17," management wrote in Luke's announcement video. In the announcement video, Luke previewed several players who would be his teammates, including Albert, Erlan, and EgaTzy.

With Luke's arrival, EVOS has brought in two new players for MPL ID Season 17.
