6. Only The Gem of Infinite Suns Could Defeat It

When Malekith had the Casket of Ancient Winters, he wanted to tell everyone in the Nine Realms about his presence. He released the artifacts to everyone. However, when nothing could be done, Lady Sif realized that another artifact, the Gem of Infinite Suns, could actually be used to reverse the effects of the Casket of Ancient Winters.
