Djinn was first introduced in Ms. Marvel, which is quite interesting but not too outstanding. There were quite a few magical creatures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the Doctor Strange movie. Djinn itself has the same figure as a Djinn in the real world, being an outcast figure who oscillates in this world.

The Dunia Games team will discuss some facts about Djinn from the Marvel universe that are quite surprising and rarely known by Marvel fans. Let's see in more detail.

1. A Same Story as the General Jinn

Djinn is a character who was introduced to us recently in Ms. Marvel episode 3, where the figure of his descendants becomes Clan Destine. Djinn does have the same name as the Jin that we know, and that's actually true because Djinn is a version of the Jinn from Marvel. The Djinn or Jinn are figures who each have magical powers, and usually the Jinn will be enslaved by someone who discovers their existence.

2. Two Types of Djinn

For the Marvel version of Jin (Djinn), unfortunately not much is known about its origins, but there are some facts and opinions that Djinn actually comes from Lilith, the mother of the monster that gave birth to Djinn. All Djinn figures are creatures that are stronger than ordinary humans, and the Djinn themselves are not all tied to an object like a real Jinn. Djinn is divided into 2 types, on side 1 there is a Djinn group that can live freely, then the other side is the opposite, Djinn who are bound to objects.

3. Not a Genie Who Can Grant Wishes

Although it has a story and background that is quite the same as Jin in general, the iconic power of Jin in the form of granting requests does not exist in Marvel's version of Djinn. Most of the Jin in Marvel, almost all of them can't grant wishes, and most of them can only be used as slaves or a source of power. If the Djinn could grant the wish, then Thanos would have been looking for the Djinn from the start and not the Infinity Stones.

4. Bred in Asgard

Djinns can live very long, and their whereabouts are still quite difficult to pinpoint. But in Asgard where Thor and Loki live, it is known to have become a place for Djinns, and even they have lived for decades in Asgard, in Zanadu to be exact. The Djinn that breed in Asgard are certainly a threat to the Asgardians, so that makes Thor and the Warrior's Three defeat them with artificial night.

5. Have Descendants from Humans

If Jin is supposed to be a supernatural figure who can't be touched, then that's different from the Marvel version. Marvel's version of Djinn has been in contact with humans, and even has a human family and children. That Djinn is named Elalyth, and she was imprisoned by Sujanaa Min Raghbah in ancient Persia, then locked up in a supernatural rock for centuries. Elalyth was later found and released by a man named Adam, and after that they were blessed with many children.

6. Adam and Djinn Elalyth are Ancestors of Clan Destine

Elalyth, the female Djinn who was imprisoned for centuries was finally free in the days of King Henry II, and it was her future husband, Adam of Ravenscroft, who freed her. Elalyth and Adam also have many children and families, where their children have the same power as Djinn. So from there, their family changed their identity with the name Clan Destine, and it continued to the next generation.

7. A Spell That Can Turn a Being into a Human

Many Marvel versions of Djinn can't grant requests, but there are also some that can. Djinn who can grant a wish actually only rely on a spell, and of course not all spells can have the desired will. For example, a Djinn named Al-Shalizar, where the Djinn is known to be able to turn other creatures into humans, but only uses spells in his magic library.

8. A Nameless Djinn Who Can Grant Wishes

As the Dunia Games team explained earlier, almost all Djinn cannot grant requests. But there are also a handful of Djinn who can grant wishes, and most of these Djinn have no names and are considered myths. The Djinn, who doesn't have a name, certainly has powers like the Jinn in Aladdin's movie, which is that he can grant requests and can even grant requests to wipe out the world as Davey did to his Djinn.

9. Manipulated to Fight X-Men

Not only the Clan Destine, in fact pure Djinn have also faced the X-Men. It started when Psylocke went to Japan to deal with Matsu'o Tsurayaba, and she met a Djinn creature named Fahd Alireza. But because she was manipulated, the Djinn wanted to use his power to kill Tsurayaba, it was because he was considered to have killed his pregnant wife.

10. Ancient One Once Had 1 Djinn

The Ancient One once had a Djinn, and he used it as a study material, which was in his Mystical class and had been expelled from a Kolmycan of lamps. The Ancient One who released the Djinn asked his students to put the Djinn back into the lamp without using magic at all, so that they could master their abilities and the existing Djinn.

11. The Youngest Djinn Is Sai-Sai

Although famous for living very long, Djinn have different ages, where the youngest known is a Djinn named Sai-Sai. Djinn Sai-Sai is a Djinn who once existed in Wakanda, a Djinn who was once relied upon by one of the Kings of Wakanda to help Bast live. Even though he is the youngest, this Djinn's power is still quite powerful. He can release great power or be able to change shape according to his wishes.

12. Djinn Can Give Immortality

Djinn is indeed well-known and has proven to be a very long-lived figure, and with so many people thinking that Djinn is an immortal figure in the Marvel universe. But actually it’s not being able to live long because of longevity or destiny, but Djinn has the ability or power that can grant immortality to themselves. Not only themselves, Djinn can also give immortality to humans, as Elalyth did to Adam.

13. Djinn Can Give Superpower To Ordinary Humans

Not only can they give immortality, some Djinn also have special abilities that can give superpowers to humans. Now this has happened to the ancestor of the Clan Destine, where Elalyth gave Adam super powers because he managed to save her. With immortality and superhuman strength, Adam has indirectly resembled a Djinn, and that too is the same as the Clan Destine in Marvel.

14. The Clan Destine Have Different Power

As a descendant of a Djinn, then of course Clan Destine will be blessed with the power of a Djinn. And indeed the Clan Destine have powers because of their bloodline, but unfortunately the power of each of them is different. The strengths of the Clan Destine themselves are in the form of attack, resistance, until there is also a power that can heal.

15. The Origin of the Djinn from MCU is Different from the Comics Version

Talking about the accuracy of the MCU with comics, there is no need to compare it again, because many of the comic versions have been modified in the MCU, as is the case with Djinn. In the comics, Djinn or Clan Destine is descended from Adam and Elalyth, but in the MCU itself Clan Destine is a group of Djinn who were exiled to Earth from Noor Dimension hundreds of years ago.
