Do you know these facts about Dracule Mihawk? Check out 10 facts about Dracule Mihawk, the strongest swordsman in One Piece!
Anime & Manga | 07 December
Dracule Mihawk is the strongest swordsman in the world of One Piece and Zoro wants to surpass him. There are several interesting facts about Mihawk that have been known so far in One Piece. This time, Dunia Games wants to discuss facts about him. Have a look!
1. His Mainstay Technique
One of Dracule Mihawk's mainstay moves is Kokuto Issen. Kokuto Issen can literally be interpreted as a black sword or one flash. Mihawk will swing his sword to launch an invisible slash that can cut everything in front of him. The range of this technique is very far.
Its strength also cannot be underestimated and the incision can cut Don Krieg's ship in half. With extraordinary destructive power, Kokuto Issen will be a really dangerous technique for Mihawk's opponents.
2. Yoru's Technique
Kokuto Kogetsu can be interpreted as a Black Crescent Sword where Dracule Mihawk swipes Yoru at high-speed consecutively to produce several medium-sized cutting waves to hit the opponent from short to medium distance.
The attack was first seen used against Luffy, who had trouble dodging it. This attack is one of Mihawk's attacks that is quite troublesome.
3. His Swordsmanship Surpasses a Yonkou
Maybe Shanks is stronger than Mihawk, but not his swordsmanship. As a Yonkou, Shanks displays fantastic swordsmanship skills, as shown at Marineford when he blocked Akainu's magma fist, but that doesn't mean he has better skills than Mihawk.
Most likely Mihawk has practiced swordsmanship at a very young age so that his mastery of the sword is beyond anybody. Whether it's Shanks, Rayleigh, or other swordsmen, Mihawk's swordsmanship is still above them. This is why he is called the strongest swordsman.
4. A Calm Warrior
Swordsmen who fight calmly are definitely better than those who fight furiously. Mihawk is probably the calmest swordsman in One Piece. When fighting, he never gets provoked by his opponent.
With his eagle eyes, Mihawk has a better ability to observe his surroundings than other swordsmen. Like most fights in other anime, those who are calmer have a greater chance of winning.
5. Fights Alone
Dracule Mihawk is one of the few pirates who sailed without a crew. On the one hand, this gives it a disadvantage in the absence of a larger fighting force and assistance in an emergency. But on the other hand, this shows how "confident" this former Shichibukai is with his swordsmanship skills.
Even after his Shichibukai title was revoked by the World Government and returned to being a wanted pirate by the Marines, Mihawk does not show the slightest fear even though he is alone. Usually, fighters who travel alone will be stronger than anyone because they never depend on others.

6. The Owner of Saijo O'Wazamono
Mihawk is one of the few One Piece characters who have Saijo O'Wazamono. The sword is at the highest level compared to other swords. In the world, there are only 12 swords of its kind.
Mihawk has Kokuto Yoru, one of the strongest swords in the story. Shanks' Gryphon does look strong, but it hasn't been explained whether it is one of the strongest swords or not. On the other hand, Mihawk's Yoru sword can even split a mountain in two quite easily.
7. Once Intimidated by Zoro's Haoshoku Haki
In One Piece chapter 51, to be precise in the battle between Zoro and Mihawk, there are quite interesting things to be seen. When Zoro used his Sanzen Sekai, Mihawk looked quite surprised for a moment and sweated. Mihawk seemed to feel something from Zoro's attack. In the manga, this moment was marked with a balloon filled with an exclamation point.
Amazingly, the moment when Mihawk was shocked was also made by Boichi when he drew a picture of the battle between Zoro and Mihawk. While this moment wasn't exactly visible in the original episode, we can see Mihawk sweating in the Episode of East Blue.
8. Zoro's Mentor
Even though Zoro's goal is to defeat Mihawk who is the strongest swordsman, Mihawk trains Zoro to become stronger. This is because Mihawk was interested in Zoro's fighting spirit. He also has great pride as a swordsman.
Mihawk wants Zoro to grow stronger and surpass him someday.
9. His Bounty
After the Shichibukai was disbanded, all of its members officially became wanted by the Marines, including Mihawk. After the Wano arc, it was revealed that Mihawk has a bounty of 3,590,000,000 Belly.
10. Cross Guild
Despite usually fighting alone, Mihawk decides to join the Cross Guild after he becomes a fugitive. In that group, he works with Buggy and Crocodile. It is not yet known what Mihawk's goal is in joining Cross Guild.
