Ethan Winters reappeared as the protagonist in Resident Evil: Village. The eighth game continues the story of Ethan who is looking for his daughter who was kidnapped by Chris Redfield.

After the events of Resident Evil VII, many are curious about who Ethan Winters is. Why did he become the main character in Village? Everything is revealed in Village.

Capcom also shared that Ethan marries Mia and is blessed with a daughter named Rosemary. After REVII, Chriss kidnapped Rosemary and killed Mia. This event leads to Ethan chasing after Chris and getting involved in the events of Resident Evil: Village.

1. Ethan is a Technician

Prior to the events of Resident Evil 7, Ethan Winters lived in Los Angeles and worked as a technician. Unlike other Resident Evil series protagonists, Ethan is not a supercop or a member of the special forces. He was just an ordinary man who lived happily with his wife, Mia, until his wife disappeared.

Ethan almost gave up finding his wife, but finally Ethan gets a video sent by the wife. In the video, Mia explained that she was in Dulvey. Without training or previous combat experience, Ethan then decided to go to Dulvey, Louisiana to find his mysteriously missing wife. He intended to save her, no matter what.

2. Ethan Does Not Know His Wife's Job

Before Ethan learns about Mia's dark secret, he assumes that she works for a trading company that requires her to travel a lot. Little did Ethan know that Mia's real job was much worse than he knew. Mia actually works for a secret company known as "The Connections".

This company is engaged in the research and development of bioweapons. Mia works as an agent of The Connections and is in charge of hiding all company information, including to Ethan. Of course the question is, how an ordinary man like Ethan Winters ended up marrying an agent from a bioweapons company?

3. Can Reattach Body Parts

For those of you who have played Resident Evil 7, you know that Ethan Winters has unique ability when dealing with Baker's Family members. Ethan can miraculously heal wounds and even reattach his mangled leg because of Jack Baker. The wound would magically heal itself by using the magic liquid that was splashed on the wound. 4. Married to Mia in 2011

Just a year before the doomed events of Resident Evil 6, Mia and Ethan got married. As told in Resident Evil 7, Ethan seemed not fully aware of who he was married to. Even so, the two of them loved each other until in the first years of their marriage, Mia disappeared under mysterious circumstances and did not leave any traces, apart from an email containing a video that gave little chance that she was still alive. Resident Evil 5 was released in 2009, but did you know that there is a mysterious character known as Ethan W. The name appears on the list belonging to the Umbrella scientist who was ordered by Spencer to be killed. Several Resident Evil fans have speculated that Ethan Winters also has a hidden background like his wife, Mia. 6.Ethan is Not the Main Character in Resident Evil 7 Demo Version

8. Ethan Uses Albert Wesker's Weapon

Many don't realize that Ethan Winters used a weapon designed by Albert Wesker. The incident began when Ethan confronted Eveline who had turned into a giant monster. 10. Ethan Has a Child

After the events of Resident Evil 7, Ethan and Mia left the temporary home provided by the BSAA and lived normal lives as parents. In their new home, Ethan and Mia have a daughter.
