Galadriel can be said to be one of the highlights in the Rings of Power series because of her large portion in the series. Besides in Lord of the Rings, Galadriel also plays a very important role in Rings of Power. Starting from her power in the Elf race, even becoming a war commander who is very feared in Middle Earth. You could say Galadriel has some surprising facts that LOTR fans rarely know.
The Dunia Games team will discuss some facts about Galadriel who was present in the Rings of Power series. Let's just look at it in more detail.
1. Arwen Is Her Granddaughter
One of the facts that the movie doesn't explain, is the fact that there is a direct relationship between Galadriel and Celeborn who had a daughter named Celebrian, whom she later married Elrond and became the mother of Arwen (as well as her brothers, Elladan and Elrohir). The truth is that in Lothlorien, Arwen made the decision to marry Aragorn, because she was visiting her grandmother at the time Aragorn was passing.
2. One of the Ring of Power Wielders
It is known that Galadriel once had a ring called Nenya, the Ring of Water and also Celebrimbor. It was Galadriel who actually told Celebrimbor how she kept the elven ring free from Sauron's influence. Galadriel doesn't use her ring until the One Ring is gone. Then later she uses Nenya to help preserve Lothlorien's realm, by creating an eternal spring/summer state so she can keep it safe from Sauron's attacks.
3. Rejected the Most Powerful Elf on Earth
It is said that Feanor had asked for a piece of Galadriel's golden hair, where he asked for up to 3 times. But unfortunately three times he was rejected by Galadriel. According to one version of the story, it was Galadriel's encounter that inspired Feanor to create the Silmarils in the first place, meaning that the great drama of the First Age is partly due to Galadriel's transcendent beauty and the strength of her own character.
4. Married
Galadriel was already married to Celeborn in the First Age of Middle Earth. Celeborn himself is a very minor character in The Fellowship of the Ring, played by Marton Csokas. At the time of the events of The Lord of the Rings, they had been married for more than 7,000 years. Both were lords of Lothlorien, but they didn't stay there for long, only about 1,000 years before the events of The Lord of the Rings (not long for an Elf).
5. Forbidden to Return to the West
The fact is that there is no definite story or sequence to follow from Galdien's story, that's because the author has revised it several times, and it's not clear which version is the real one. However, in one version of the story, she is actually forbidden by the sacred powers of Middle-earth from returning to the West. It was because of the role she played in Feanor's rebellion, when she led the elves of the Blessed Realm and betrayed several of her own people along the way.
6. Traveled Through Khazad-dum
Galadriel lived through a period of Middle-earth's history when the elves and dwarves were in a stable state, but the one extraordinary thing she ever did was travel through the underground dwarf kingdom, Khazad-dum. Of course, it was very unusual for elves to do this, not out of distrust of one another, but because elves loved trees and were more inclined to grow things, and would naturally avoid closed dark halls like the dwarves lived.
7. Sauron Feared Her
Galadriel immediately distrusts Sauron as Celebrimbor forges the ring of power. Tolkien also briefly stated that Sauron saw Galadriel as his match, and because of that in his rise to power he feared that she would pursue that power herself. As we saw in The Fellowship of the Ring, Galadriel once told Frodo that the One Ring would eat her and turn her into the Queen of Darkness.
8. One of the Kindest Elves to the Dwarves
Dwarves are the race that is most often mistreated by the elves, but it is different from Galadriel. Galadriel was one of the few elves who was genuinely kind to the dwarves, and even hse trusted them very much. If we look at the world of Tolkien, we will often see that the elves often mistreated the dwarves and it could even be the other way around. That's a fact that's even in the big storylines of The Hobbit.

Galadriel besides being known to have been the Lady of Lorien, Galadriel was actually born as the daughter of an elven clan named Noldor. That's because her parents are Finarfin, the old prince and Eärwen. Meanwhile she also had her mother's cousin, the famous Lúthien. Galadriel currently has four older brothers, namely Finrod Felagund, Orodreth, Angrod, and also Aegnor.
10. Founder of the White Council
Galadriel is known to be one of the founders of the White Council. Galadriel is not alone, as there are also Gandalf, Radagast, Saruman, Elrond, Círdan whom she is known to have possessed one of the elven rings before she gave it to Gandalf. Not only that, there is also Glorfindel, a character who is not in the movie. The council was first formed in the Second Age by Gil-galad to fight Sauron in Mordor.
11. Wanted Gandalf as the Leader of the White Council
As one of the founders of the White Council formed in the Second Age by Gil-galad to fight Sauron in Mordor, Galadriel had wanted to make Gandalf leader of the council. That's when they met and fought the Necromancers at Dol Guldur, in the events of The Hobbit and so on. Galadriel wanted Gandalf to be the leader of the White Council, but for some reason Saruman got him.
12. Has a Height of Two Rangar
As an elf, Galadriel not only had her long and beautiful silver-gold hair, but she also had a very special height. It was said by the Dunedains that Galadriel was as tall as two rangers. The meaning of the ranger is a long step, or it could be about 6 feet 4 inches, or 193 cm, which is the same height as a male who is quite tall. But still, the main beauty of Galadriel lies in her hair.
13. Her Character Is a Mix of Eldars
Galadriel's character turns out to be a mix of Eldar characters. Just as she had the pride and ambition of the Noldor, so she also had the gentleness and foresight like the Vanyars. Galadriel is also referred to as a mix between her father, Finarfin and her older brother, Finrod, where he is arrogant, strong and stubborn. But deep in her heart lies the kindness and generosity of the Vanyars, as well as the respect for the Valar that she will never forget.
14. Many Names and Titles
Before Galadriel was known, she was known as Artanis, then as Nerwen which refers to her height and strength. The name Galadriel is actually used outside of Lorien by people who are ignorant of its past and history. Then as the ruler of Lórien, Galadriel received many titles such as "Lady of Lórien", "Lady of the Wood", "Queen Galadriel". Not only that, she was also known as "Lady of Light" or "White Lady", which refers to her skin, the white one and her shining robe.
15. One of the Strongest Elves
Galadriel has extraordinary powers and magical abilities, where she has the ability to speak long distances, communicate through the mind, to be able to predict the future. With this power, she can protect her mind from Sauron and other dark forces.
