Kanjuro is revealed to be a subordinate of Orochi who infiltrated the Oden clan as one of the Akazaya Nine. He later betrayed the Oden clan. There are some interesting facts about Kanjuro that are not explained in the anime or manga, but only in One Piece Vivre Card Databook Wano S2 edition. 

Kanjuro ate the Fude Fude no Mi fruit. This gives him the ability to make anything he draws into life. If he draws a living creature, then it will live. Kanjuro's weapon is called Tsujishibai. He's the only samurai fighting without a katana, but a giant brush.

Kanjuro is also confirmed to be a Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku Haki user, but it's not clear whether he can use Ryuo or not. Kanjuro is actually very good at drawing, but he never showed it during his time in the Oden clan. He was so adapt in disguise that his emotions looked real.
